All of you decrying reputable breeders take note: if you walk through your local shelter, you will not find a single well bred, reputably produced dog in their kennels.
You will find pit bulls, poorly bred Labradors, Chihuahuas, mix breed “Designer” dogs, and toy breeds with goggly eyes and crooked legs.
You won't find one from a reputable breeder, one where the parents have been health tested for absence of breed specific abnormalities, temperaments evaluated and conformation which conforms to the breed standard, where preventative measures have been taken against known possible lifelong injury and infection.
Why won't you find one of our dogs there?
Because we spend weeks to months screening potential new owners so they go to forever homes the first time. We don't sell you a dog just because you have the cash on hand!
Because too, our puppies are microchipped, they are registered and sold with a contract that states if the owner must rehome then the dog comes back to the place it was born. (In some cases, they never leave again…)
When the well-bred dogs go extinct, you will wonder why. The answer is because of you.
