We normally give Dragon his tummy medicine at 7:30 every night. It's a big production where we mix them in with his food and he eats in the window while Heidi stands next to him so he doesn't wander off. Last night Heidi mixed them in with his earlier meal and put it out without occasion. Apparently, he thought we forgot. Dragon usually says "nope" to drugs. This is the first time he has asked for them. We know it was the ritual that he was missing but it made Heidi very happy that he asked. They are such good time keepers.

If you have children, this will feel familiar to you. Dragon does this frequently when Heidi is paying attention to Mike 😁. Is he trying to join the conversation (notice the parroting and appropriate words used) or is he just babbling for attention? Each time Mike gets excited about something, Dragon presses "look". There are a lot of accidental presses mixed in because he's excited but it mostly seems intentional and accurate.

Dragon found a new way to tell us he threw up. I had just walked in the door. He totally rejected my kiss (thankfully), acknowledged I was home and then told me he threw up. When I didn't know what he was saying, he guided me to the puke. What a good boy. I think somebody had too many treats!

Dragon dislikes Monday mornings almost as much as we do. This is what he had to say about Mike leaving for work Monday. Heidi wasn't feeling good over the weekend so the whole family spent a lot of time napping. Dragon wasn't ready for it to end.

He could have been explaining flight, "birdies go up". In context though, I'm pretty sure he was asking for the birdies to get out of bed. We call that "get up". I could hear him wailing and banging on the back window for 10 minutes before I got up. He does not understand that the birdies don't get up until the sun comes up.

Dragon and Tiger haven't been outside much this winter but it was nicer this morning so that went out (they don't leave the yard). When Dragon came in, I thought it would be a good opportunity to work on "cold". He was like a little boy though and wanted to tell me about his play time. I'm thinking he may have seen a bunny (funny) but it could have been a dog since we live by a park.

Quick update from Dragon. He requested Tiger join us in bed last night. I carried her to bed and she stayed there with us. There is peace in the valley. Dragon acts like she drives him crazy but he really loves her.
Tiger got booped in the nose by the door yesterday. I'm sure she was standing right behind it trying to sneak out. No matter the scenario, she blamed Mike. He felt awful and gave her loves and apologized but being a cat, she held a grudge. (Dragon didn't talk to me for two days when I stepped on his foot). So, Tiger didn't come to bed with the family like she always does. She normally tucks us all in, but she didn't. The video is what happened this morning. This is the first time (we've realized) that Dragon has talked for Tiger. Tiger is back to loving Mike tonight. All is well.
