If you have children, this will feel familiar to you. Dragon does this frequently when Heidi is paying attention to Mike 😁. Is he trying to join the conversation (notice the parroting and appropriate words used) or is he just babbling for attention? Each time Mike gets excited about something, Dragon presses "look". There are a lot of accidental presses mixed in because he's excited but it mostly seems intentional and accurate.

Dragon found a new way to tell us he threw up. I had just walked in the door. He totally rejected my kiss (thankfully), acknowledged I was home and then told me he threw up. When I didn't know what he was saying, he guided me to the puke. What a good boy. I think somebody had too many treats!

Dragon dislikes Monday mornings almost as much as we do. This is what he had to say about Mike leaving for work Monday. Heidi wasn't feeling good over the weekend so the whole family spent a lot of time napping. Dragon wasn't ready for it to end.

I noticed the bird feeder was low on seed so I decided to model different ways Dragon could tell me that the birds need food. I love that he joined in when I got stumped. He understood the assignment.

Dragon has a really hard time letting me go to work. The first thing he said when I got out of bed was "p**p". He knows if I get up with my alarm, it's a work day. I love that little bo**er!

He could have been explaining flight, "birdies go up". In context though, I'm pretty sure he was asking for the birdies to get out of bed. We call that "get up". I could hear him wailing and banging on the back window for 10 minutes before I got up. He does not understand that the birdies don't get up until the sun comes up.

I don't say "nope" to him very often. 🤣

Quick update from Dragon. He requested Tiger join us in bed last night. I carried her to bed and she stayed there with us. There is peace in the valley. Dragon acts like she drives him crazy but he really loves her.

23/01/2024

Tiger got booped in the nose by the door yesterday. I'm sure she was standing right behind it trying to sneak out. No matter the scenario, she blamed Mike. He felt awful and gave her loves and apologized but being a cat, she held a grudge. (Dragon didn't talk to me for two days when I stepped on his foot). So, Tiger didn't come to bed with the family like she always does. She normally tucks us all in, but she didn't. The video is what happened this morning. This is the first time (we've realized) that Dragon has talked for Tiger. Tiger is back to loving Mike tonight. All is well.

I thought this might be fun. Here is a quick tour of Dragon's buttons. I didn't have the foresight to organize them in any certain order and didn't want to move them after he learned them so they is what they is.

Teach your cat to talk, it'll be fun. Haha. I was getting ready to go back to work after three days at home. We don't think he was happy about that and just looking for attention. He had wet food, kibble and I gave him Greenie treats.

This actually makes me really happy/proud. Dragon hates it when I get on my phone in the middle of the night. He typically shows this by banging on the closet door or chewing on my flip flops until I put my phone down. This is the first time he has used his words to tell me to stop instead of being obnoxious. I don't know why it bothers him so much, I guess he cares about my sleep 🤔. Dr. Dragon knows best.

This was the second time in one day that Dragon used "go" with "treat". We thought he was being pushy until I heard myself say "there you go" and realized I say that every time I give him treats. He said "tummy good job" a few days ago when it was time for his medicine. I watch him eat his medicine food and tell him "good job" to encourage him to eat all of it. We think he may be using "tummy" as "tell me" like he used "oops" for "up". (Tell me "good job") Time will tell.

Mr. Sassy-pants picking on Mike. He can't stand not being the center of attention.
