Please spread the word! Calli is STILL MISSING as of Nov 18, 2024, last seen in Westlake Village, CA 91361 near Triunfo Canyon Road (which is nearest cross street to Broomfirth Court)
Update: Asking for HELP from people in Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village, CA:
My kitty Calli is still missing, after last being seen 11/8/2024. AND there's a frost warning tonight!
What’s been done to find her: I called the chip company - no activity on her chip, which means no one has brought her in (dead or alive) to a shelter or a vet. I've also called shelters and looked at a zillion pics of found pets that HAVE been brought in. Friends & neighbors have put flyers at vets, Petsmart, on light posts, etc. I’ve gone out quite a few nights between 2:30am and 5am looking for her (tho I couldn't go far, just stayed around my hse with my flashlight and a bag of treats, and singing our song softly so she’ll know it’s me).
There are still a lot of things that can be done, and primary advice is to NOT GIVE UP! Of course, due to my disability, sleep deprivation, brain fog and “grief fatigue” (didn't know that was a thing but it's exactly what's happening to me!), I’m having a difficult time doing everything myself.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
• I need someone to buy a handful of bright florescent colored poster boards and write “LOST CAT” on them in big letters (the flyer with her picture can then be pasted in the middle). Then they need to be hung in strategic spots in the area so they are easy to see from a car.
• Go to hses nearby and ask my neighbors if they can check their yards for ANY hiding places since it's been so so cold, or if they’ll let you check. She won't come out when called after this long if she's in survivor mode, so you’ll have to look for her.
• Let me go into backyards to check for her, since she will most likely only come out of she hears me.
• Does anyone have any tuna cans? I'd like a few for tonight. The smell might attract her.
• Can someone borrow a catch and release trap? Or a couple?! I'm not sure where to get those. And again, I'd like to get ASAP.
• I’m open to other ideas if you have any.
