We have some shelter residents that have been here for quite some time and are so very ready for their furever homes. MEET THE CREW:

1. Baxter is a male Doberman Pinscher mix, about 8 months old. He has been here since September 2nd. Baxter loves stuffed toys, plays tug, and knows sit. This sweet boy is so ready for his second chance!

2. Lexi is a spayed female German Shepard mix, about 4 years old. Lexi has been here since September 21st. She is a big girl, appears to get along with other dogs, walks on a leash, and knows sit and down. She is super sweet... won't you come down and meet your new best friend?

3. Dutch is a 6+ year old German Shepard mix. He came to the shelter on September 30th. He is such a good boy and would love to spend time with you. He loves to sit in the sun but has energy for a senior dog as well.Come on in to meet this sweet boy.

4. Greta is 4 years old and a sweet girl. She is also a sweet dog who has been here since October 14th. She will make an awesome hiking partner and a sweet companion.

5. Billy is another German Shepard mix. He is about 8 months old and has been at the shelter since October 24th. He is super soft and would love for you to just adore him.

6. Doja, a 5 month old, and yup... German Shepard mix who came to the shelter on October 28th. She is a sweet girl who would love to grow up with you and spend hours entertaining you with her sweet antics 💕.

7. Rayna is about 5 months old and also came to the shelter on October 28th. She may be a litter mate of Doja as 4 pups were brought in together ... she is a Labrador mix (yes, possible with German Shepard!). She doesn't want to grow up here... please Coe in to meet her! 😊

8. Kevin. Not a German Shepard..
Kevin is about 2 1/2 years old and is a Great Pyrenees. Kevin was brought in on October 29th. He is mellow and a bit shy, but will be a lovely companion. He's a big boy.

9. Hamm is a female German Shepard mix and is about 5 months old. She and her littermates were found in a field and brought to the shelter on October 29th. Her three siblings have been adopted, and she is ready to be loved as well. Please come in for a visit!

10. April is a spayed female Doberman Pinscher mix. She has been here since September 2nd and is about 8 months old. (Yes, Baxter is her brother.) April ate a blanket 😳, which caused a blockage, and she had to have surgery. She is recovering well but will need to have a quiet home to start before she can wrestle and be fully active like she wants to be... we can give you more information on this sweet girl when you call or come in to meet her.

So, if you can't adopt... please share this post! If you don't see the dog you are looking for, we have plenty of others available. Come in for a visit or check out our website at www.northwestspca.org

ADOPTION FEES are $150, which includes the spay/neuter surgery, microchip, and all vaccinations while in our care. Dogs 6 and over are only $50, and many of these pups have had their adoption fees sponsored. Adoptor must meet all qualifications. Come on in or call for details. 😊

We will be closing today at NOON.

We are closed tomorrow, January 1st, all day.

🎇2025🎆 Happy New Year! 🎆2025🎇

Please remember to keep your pets safe during New Year's celebrations!! Fireworks, loud noises, loud parties, and people coming and going can lead to distressed animals running loose and scared. Please be prepared and have a safe and quiet place for your pets to rest.

Stay safe and have fun!🎇 🎆 🎇 🎆

Please support The Northwest SPCA with a year end gift!

The Northwest S.P.C.A. is a private, non-profit corporation founded in 1980 for the purpose of promoting animal welfare and responsible pet ownership. Recognized as a charitable, 501(c)(3) organization by the IRS, your donations to our shelter are always tax deductible.

Our humane programs and services include lost and found pet referral, investigation of animal cruelty and/or neglect for the City of Oroville (Animal Control), pet adoptions and animal sheltering for strays, humane education speakers to area schools and community groups, and pet microchipping.

With intense focus on getting more pets into loving homes, we encourage people to visit our shelter first when ready for a new pet. We are sure to have your new best friend.

We need your help. Please donate today.

Your gift helps make this work possible. Your donations go directly towards animal care including but not limited to vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries for adopted animals, feeding (we feed Hill's Science Diet to all sheltered animals) and microchipping. We envision a future where every pet has a happy home and our community is safe for pets of all kinds.

Thank you for making a difference!

You can donate in person, by mail, or via our PayPal link (one time, monthly or annually):

Andrew earns chore money and divides it into "save," spend," and "give." This year, he chose the NW SPCA as the place to spend his "give" account. He brought the animals a huge bag of dog food to share!

Thank you, Andrew!

Thank you to the Alpha Beta Chapter of Omega Nu here in Oroville, a non-profit charitable organization that raises funds to donate to other non-profits and local entities in need. For the annual holiday party, rather than a gift exchange, everyone brought donations for the animals here at the shelter!
