The Thimble & Hound At The Thimble & Hound we handcraft stylish, and livable accessories for you and your canine compani So, as family tradition dictated, I decided to make my own!

I’m Jen, and I helped create The Thimble & Hound along with my aunt, Jan. We share a passion for design, fashion, gardening, and of course, dogs. We’ve both been sewing since childhood, from curtains and coats to gowns, we’ve made it all! Our family sewing tradition began out of necessity and a spirit of resourcefulness and grew into creating for pleasure, comfort, quality, and a desire to create

beautiful things that were customized ‘just so.’

In 2009, when my family adopted a retired racing Greyhound, I looked high and low for a stylish and tailored dog coat to keep my pup warm in the winter. I found some cute coats for little dogs, but nothing for my long legged, skinny-bodied sighthound, Shandy Puccini. And, forget finding chic and modern accessories like crate mats and blankets, especially for big dogs. At The Thimble and Hound, we know that your dog is part of your family. We hope that you find the livable quality accessories you need to keep your dog in comfort and style.
