Sid is still looking for a medical foster. He is currently safe (and definitely loving his new life 🥰) but he will need a foster that can check on him every few hours, feed him small meals several times a day and can get him to his vet appointments at our vet in LSL. If this is something your schedule can handle, please submit a foster app. So far what we know about him is he's cat friendly, leash trained, potty trained and an all around lover. Thank you to everyone for the outpouring of love and compassion for Sid. Because this is an ongoing investigation, we removed our previous post as requested by the officer in charge. We have also turned off comments on this post. We will keep everyone updated on Sid and his condition, but we will have no information on an ongoing investigation. Meet Cayman. Cay is a sweet and smart cuddle bug! She is doing great with potty training, crate training and leash training. She rides well in the car, enjoys playing in water and napping in the sun. You really wouldn't know she was hard of hearing except when she sleeps or is in a different room and she can’t hear you call her.

She is learning lots of signs...sit, ball, out, come, no, sleep and I love you which is super adorable because she stops what she's doing to get a kiss on her nose

Colby came into the rescue as a dog that had been left in the crate all the time. I knew he wanted nothing but to spread joy to all. Colby went on his first visit as a therapy dog today. He did awesome and was able to spread his joy! Everyone loved him! He did what he was meant to do all because Lucky Chance Rescue took a chance on a puppy. Rescue dogs are the best!

Introducing St. Lucia, the sweetest German Shepherd/Lab Mix with the cutest ears and a love for belly scratches! While she’s curious and eager to explore, St. Lucia can be a bit timid at times. She does best with another dog to guide her and show her the ropes. She absolutely adores kids and would thrive in a home with at least one child and a patient dog sibling to love and who she can learn from.

St. Lucia is almost fully potty trained, though she might get a bit too excited when she sees her people and piddle. She’s sleeping nearly through the night in her crate but would much rather snuggle up in a big, comfy bed. Her foster mom says this intelligent puppy is eager to please and would be perfect for an active family who will continue her training, take her on walks, and keep her busy mind stimulated.

Beautiful Oakie hasn’t found even one person who wants to meet her 😭 She is 2 years old and weighs just 40lbs. Oakie is sweetest girl and truly loves all people including kids! She is housebroken, leash trained, knows basic commands, and is crate trained, although she can free roam all day and doesn’t get into trouble! She is a perfect dog for a family with no other dogs.
She is such a friendly, happy and loving dog and will curl up with her people and be completely content! She’s also fine alone and just chilling out, or playing in the yard. She LOVES kids and will run around in the yard and play with them, or just curl up in their lap for love. she really is the sweetest dog!

We don’t know what happened in her past, but Oakie does not like to share her people with other dogs. She wants all the human attention to herself. Maybe it’s because her previous owner left her living outside and she’s desperate for human connection.. we don’t know… Oakie will hang out with other dogs with no issues, until she’s getting the attention… she will get mad if another dog tries to steal the love and will put the big dog in his place. This can lead to a fight - so we will not adopt her to a home with other dogs.

Paxton is a sweet 5-month-old mixed breed who’s had a rough start in life. This little guy was cruelly kicked out of a home simply because a dad didn’t want the puppy his child brought home. For weeks, Paxton lived outside in 100-degree heat, without shelter, and was only fed by food thrown on the ground. Despite everything, Paxton remains incredibly sweet and loving.

🆘PLEASE HELP🆘
URGENT 2 FOSTERS NEEEDED!
These two dogs are currently living outside in this heat at the Troy pound. They were found in a culvert and appear to have been living on their own for quite awhile. They are very thin, looks like they have flea dermatitis, and are shutting down! They have been there over a week! They are not chipped, no owners have claimed them. They are very friendly, but we don’t know how they are with dogs or cats. Separation and slow intros to other dogs is important. They will need time to decompress and feel safe! They can be separated and would be so HAPPY to be in an air conditioned home with humans who will show them the love and care they deserve!
