****(7/21/22) Playgroups have been suspended at both MCACC locations by managment since the pandemic. ****

We were hopeful that playgroups would resume in some capacity, however at this time we are not sure if they will be reinstated at MCACC. In the meantime we will continue share and network shelter pets and adoptable fosters looking for homes in Maricopa County, under the name ‘Tangled Leashes

Welcome to the Maricopa County Animal Care (MCAC) Playgroups page. We are proud to showcase these playgroups as an enrichment opportunity for the dogs who are currently cared for at both the east and west county shelters. Playgroups are led by experienced volunteers and staff using a modification of the Dogs Playing for Life training model. All the dogs you see on this page are available for adoption at one of the two county facilities (see address listed below). So we encourage you to paw it forward and share their photos and information or feel free to make adoption inquiries here. MCAC Locations:
