Found this great App on the App Store for Chinchilla Breeding, it’s great for beginners & experienced breeders. It’s called Chinchilla Breeding Calculator.

It covers all 8 different colour mutations & Royal Persian Angoras, you pop in both parents & gets results for all the possible kit mutations, it has pics & percentages, so helps plan pairings or discover what colour mutation chinchilla you have!
It covers, White, TOV, Beige (Hetero & Homo), Ebony (Light, Medium, Dark, Extra Dark/Homo), Violet & Violet Carriers, Sapphire, Charcoal, Goldbar, & RPA

It’s brilliant, with some colours it’s easy to work out, but when you start getting recessive genes & then add in RPA this app is great for understanding the options.

For example here’s Rosa & Fjords breeding, there’s 40 different mutations possible, granted it makes it more because they are Royal Persian Angoras, but it’s fun working out what’s what! I was very lucky from this pairing, I got Billy my Pink White RPA which was only a 0.78% chance!
