When we adopted our senior pup, Sansa, at ten years old, I gave very little thought to how long we would share our lives together, however, I am blessed, knock-on-wood, that we're going on two plus years together. Tonight, I witnessed the extreme grief that Molly's family experienced, having adopted her as a senior pup, but unknowingly only having approximately one year together with her. Tonight it was evident that the impression our pets leave on our hearts, has nothing to do with the amount of time that we share together. A day, a week, a month, a year, several years... the pain, the loss is enormous. Thank you for giving Molly the very best year of her life and I believe, yes, it made up for the years that she was not a part of your family. She will forever remember her life, not as Ari, but as Molly. Thank you. Thank you for making her last year the very best ever. ~until you meet again~
