✨ Meet MACON! ✨
🐾 This handsome 2 ish-year-old male is a striking and unique mix of breeds – we're not quite sure what he is, but we know he’s wonderful! Macon is expected to be a larger pup and has a heart as big as his paws. 🐶
Macon was found running down the middle of the highway in Macon County and was rescued by some kind souls who took him in. 🛣️❤️This handsome boy has been in rescue for TOO LONG with zero interest and we don't understand.
Macon loves other dogs and kids, but his high energy level was a bit too much for the Good Samaritans who found him. He’s very respectful to his 13-year-old Chihuahua foster sister, even though she’s a bit cantankerous and doesn't like to share. 🐕👧
This smart boy knows his manners and quickly learned basic commands like sit, stay, and more. He absolutely LOVES toys and could play fetch with a tennis ball or frisbee forever (fetch level pro)! 🎾🐾 But don’t worry, he’s just as happy cuddling on the couch too. 🛋️💕

Meet Geoffrey, a nearly 1-year-old Foxhound mix with a gorgeous face and sweet eyes. 🐾🦊
This charming pup is amazing with other dogs, good with chickens and cats, and adores kids. 🏡Geoffrey is extremely calm, house-trained, and loves carrying his favorite toys around. While he may need a bit more practice on a leash and in a car, he's fine at daycare and is nondestructive. The only requirement is that he has another dog to show him the ropes.

We would like to re-introduce you to our girl Minnie 🖤
This beautiful & petite girl has been in Rescue since she was four months old. She lived in overflow boarding at Dixie Girl until she had the chance of a Northern Foster! We thought, as a confident lady, she would be a great match and get adopted quickly, but Minnie did not have many opportunities to meet new people 😞 Although she was so loved in her foster home, and we are so grateful for her foster parents loving and caring for her for over a year, we knew it was in everybody’s best interest for her to make the journey back South so we could get to know her again and find her perfect family! 🏡
Although we hated to put her through the stress of reverse transport, especially without a foster, we knew this was our best option & we were right - Minnie has blown us away in the past two weeks! She is so sweet and content, well-mannered, nondestructive, and has been fantastic with other dogs! 🐶
Minnie needs a confident dog-savvy owner, but we know she is going to make an absolutely amazing companion to a dedicated home. All of our worries have been relieved, and we are confident in her ability to be a wonderful family dog. She will not disappoint! 🖤

Unfortunately, the apps we have spoken to that wanted the spaniel yesterday haven’t been interested in saving non-spaniel mamas and puppies. This mama and her 7, 2 week old puppies are at risk. Animal control is overflowing and they are having to make hard decisions and WE CANNOT HELP without Fosters. Boarding is not an option.

To Foster a shelter pull, you must be local to Birmingham and willing/able to drive to and from appointments as needed. We pay for vetting and supplies, you provide a safe space, basic training & great pictures to help them get adopted! We do NOT pull animals from shelters without foster commitment.

Brutus is up north and his current foster fam isn’t a good fit. He is looking for a calm home environment with a foster (or adoptive) pawrent that has time to spend loving on and walking him! He loves to run and play, LOVES women and older kids! He is great with other dogs (big or small) and prefers a home with them.
