Your Dog's Business We focus on training all breeds of dogs to make them a well-rounded family memeber Unwanted behaviors, such as dog-to-dog aggression, food guarding, etc.

YDB proprietor and consultant Reginald Bruster has an extensive background with dog behavior and training. Various government offices have enlisted his help to train working dogs for essential jobs that require highly fine-tuned animals on whom agents can depend at a critical moment. To develop and shape a professional working K-9, Reginald holds himself and associates to scrupulous standards of i

ntegrity. His K-9 students love training with him, and they compete with each other for his attention with lots of tail wagging when they see him. Reggie works behind the scenes for the community as well; training dogs to be lifesavers in personal or public emergencies. Although we hope to never have to call on such services, Reggie is active in training K-9s in Search and Rescue. Lastly, Reggie and German Shepherd “Gizmo” have earned the honorable distinction of First Place in Obedience Trials, awarded by the American Kennel Club. These credentials have not only sprung from the conventional wisdom of dog training, but from experience and critical thinking that has empowered Reggie to approach each dog’s needs from a creative and unique perspective. While traditional models of classical conditioning might be taught to one dog, Reggie has an expert and gifted ability to understand when a dog cannot tolerate “textbook” training methods, and often creates new ideas for dogs and owners alike to understand each other. are challenging problems that can be dangerous and result in injury and/or lawsuits. Fortunately, with guidance and effort on the part of both owner and dog, usually the teamwork and new-found insight can bring fresh hope and balance to the household. A positive experience and leadership is the core of Reggie’s training philosophy. Whether you are a first-time dog owner, you’ve led your pack over many years, or you work with a rescue, we would love to hear your dog’s story! Here are some reasons our clients have joined us for training:
They want to impress their landlord with good K-9 manners in order to have an apartment application accepted as “dog friendly.”
They want to help their rescued dog overcome a traumatic reaction. They want to build on basic obedience or solidify basic obedience into dependable obedience.
