DEADLY TREATS ARE BACK IN TOWN!
The clue that these treats are dangerous is the warning on the product of the maximum amount a pet should have per day. According to an animal nutritionist in this documentary, if it was healthy chicken jerky, they would be able to eat the whole bag without falling ill.
There are at least three different types that have recently appeared in Viroqua stores -- one at Walgreen's, PetShoppe brand, which have the fewest ingredients (chicken, rosemary & glycerin) & are the most expensive. Glycerin was the suspected killer 12 years ago.
Golden Rewards brand at Walmart offers both chicken and duck jerky. More brands are available from Walmart online, including Wagon Train, which was determined to have killed countless dogs across the nation 12 years ago.
Nudges brand at Tractor Supply has the most ingredients & the cheapest.
Walgreen's and Tractor Supply treats boast that they are Made in the USA. The Walmart brand doesn't mention where they are made. But an American flag on the bag means very little to nothing when the ingredients may come from anywhere. And we all know that the Great Wall of China is none other than Walmart.
Training treats are the most lucrative product in the pet food market. And they are notoriously bad for pets. If you want to give your dog a special reward, make their treats out of healthy ingredients at home.
