Guess who's joining the world of dry land mushing? 🤪 (To be honest, our neighborhood is "kind of" secluded, with low through traffic on our streets. If anyone ever has a doggo that needs to have a surgery, I HIGHLY recommend buying white t-shirts AHEAD of the surgery that fit snugly. This is a total game changer! And, she looks SO CUTE 😍😍😍😍😍😍

So last night was BRU-TAL! Little Girl did not sleep at all. Daddy slept on the floor for part of the night, and then Mommy did too. We weren't prepared for TWO drain tubes that have to stay in until Saturday. She's constantly leaking out of both sides, so we have to maintain cleaning her fur all the time. She doesn't react well to a cone, so we had to try a T-Shirt, which kinda worked. I'm going to purchase some kids shirts today so we can change and clean them.

The worst part about any pet's surgery, is you can't explain to them WHY they are now in pain 😭😭😭😭 Halo is constantly whining. I can tell she blames me for this, and it breaks my heart 💔 The next few days are going to be very challenging, but we're here for our Little Girl.

The only up side to all of this, is the vet is confident that it was a cyst. We still sent it for a histopath report, as we'd rather not take any chances. We don't trust lumps in this family. So at least that's good news.

Please keep our little girl Halo in your prayers today. 🙏🏻 She's going under the knife to have a large lump removed from her back 😭 Needle aspirate looked like an infected sebaceous cyst, so we're hoping that's all it is (but antibiotics didn't work, and in fact it grew during the treatment, so that's why it's coming out today). We do NOT like "lumps" in this family. This little angel had already been through hell before she came into our lives, and it's killing us to think she's gotta go through this as well 💔 But we've gotta do this to make sure she spends many many many more years with us!

I had this wonderful piece made including my current pack Crimson, Copper & Halo The WonderMals. Halo & Copper are playing, while Crimson & Avalanche discuss how much we still miss him. I gave this picture to my parents last night, and I will post the video of their reaction as well. I am SO grateful to Cameo for this work of art 💗
