When taking photos to show owners their dog's teeth condition we always recommend using flash.🦷📸
Flash allows you to pick up fine details such as gum redness and areas hidden in the dark of a dog's mouth.
How often do dogs need their teeth ultrasound cleaned? As often as they need grooming!
Initial Sessions to remove build-up should be weekly when combining Ultrasound & flicking to remove the broken down tartar.
Once the teeth are clear they can move to maintenance sessions.
Maintenance sessions should be every 4-8 weeks to help prevent buildup & dental disease long-term.

Here's an Ultrasound Teeth Cleaning breakdown👇
📸Always take photos on flash before & after cleaning.
💧Wet brush
🪥Apply paste
💧Wet brush again
🦷Work this around the whole mouth covering all teeth quickly (this allows the paste to work on all the whole mouth while you focus on individual teeth)
💧Wet brush

🦷Work on individual teeth for 20 or so seconds each moving onto the next tooth and so on.
⏰Do this on one side of the mouth for 5 mins.
(Apply more water & paste as needed, you can never use too much!)
🔂Then move onto the other side. Work on individual teeth for 20 or so seconds each moving onto the next tooth and so on for another 5 mins.
⏪Then go back to the first side for another 5 mins and the other side for another 5 mins (20 mins in the mouth total)
🧽If there is little build-up you can ‘polish’ this with a rubber style brush.
🗻Alternatively you can try to see if any of the thick tartar has been loosened by the ultrasound to be flicked away (remember to flick never scrape teeth) this is not necessary but helps to speed up the process.
🦷If any has been removed you can do another quick finishing pass of the wet brush with paste around the whole mouth.
