is an all volunteer, foster based, non-profit organization (5013c) dedicated to ending the suffering of abandoned cats and kittens. We also promote education and empowering the local community to understand the problems of stray and abandoned animals. We continually strive to educate the local community about the responsible care and treatment of animals. Central to this effort is the promotion of

spaying and neutering as the most viable and humane alternative to euthanasia, when dealing with a burdening cat over population. We are a No-Kill organization exclusively dedicated to rehoming abandoned and stray cats/kittens.

Sharing a few pics of some of the things FCOC cat rescue has done to help stray , abandon community cats .
Awhile ago we had a call from a distressed resident about a stray cat that had a lid around her neck for over a month . Yes .. she said a month or two! The caller tried to trap and catch her including a neighbor but had no luck . I was in shock when I heard how long the lid was around this cat's neck. We called our volunteer who traps when possible immediately.
He wishes to remain anonymous . Our volunteer went to the cats location the same evening and actually saw her but was not able to get her into a drop trap. Drop traps are bigger and better for specific cat cases.
The Volunteer went back for (3) days in a row .. never giving up. Day three he caught her ! We immediately took her into a home and the lid was removed without to much trouble. The cat is semi - feral so our volunteer again decided to keep her indoors safely until she could be spayed . The goal of our rescue FCOC is to always try to give 100% towards rescuing cats in desperate situations.
This is not easy as all of our people have their own lives , most employed still working around helping the rescue when and if they can.
FCOC has no funding and only runs off donations . Hopefully one day we can open our own Non Profit business in St.Augustine. That is a goal to provide a source of funds towards more sustainable veterinary care for future cats & kittens.
We are also providing trap neuter return when possible while St.Johns still has grant funds for cats at " First Coast No More Homeless " clinic in Jacksonville. Again more volunteers needed for transport to and from Jacksonville clinic.
Here are a few pics of the kitty with lid plus a few trapped local cats .retail
