Another official piece of mail came. This one is the bomb digity.
Its official, Sam Sam is our first champion shed dog.
Dad Norman on the left with JBS back in 2001 when Norman was 10months old. Son Slammer on the right with JBS this past weekend, Slammer 5 years old.

Can’t wait for the official certification to come. Slammer is our third Sand Spring MH that we have owned and trained. His half brother Gambler was our second and their dad Norman was the first!
Proud breeder moment. I didn’t whelp or raise the litter, Sand Spring stud dog Slammer was the sire. I thank Eska Creek Chesapeakes for taking a chance on using Slammer with their lovely bitch Dicca. I thank Rob - Bulleit’s owner for going on the AKC show ride and Tonee for handling him to his AKC Championship. In April daddy Slammer became a AKC show champion and now this is his first offspring to become a CH with more offspring to come. Sand Springs first two CH with hopes of more to come too. Thank you again Rob for letting me take up space in the photo. This is a gem!

Still on cloud nine! Yesterday JBS and Slammer competed in a AKC Master Hunter test at Fox Valley Retriever Club under judges Andrea and Rick McConico. He passed so pending AKC approval we will receive his Master Hunter Title. This guy has been on a roll recently piling up the titles. They say you breed to better the breed and I believe I have done that with Slammer as he has accomplished more firsts for Sand Spring Chesapeakes than any other one of our dogs. His half brother Gambler started some first’s as their father was only a HRCH/MH, but Slammer has even out did Gambler with being Sand Springs’s first AKC show champion/MH. He also is our first United Master Jumper, Champion Shed Dog, Fetch Advanced, International Show Champion, Rally Excellent, Dock Master. Now to finish his HRCH and his Senior Jumper Champion. Ask Slammer to jump and he says how high! Thanks to my training group, the Wisconsin Teams, my friends and his fan group for all the help and encouragement there is more to come!
Slammers son Bulleit is on a roll. Finished his AKC show champion Thursday and now passed his first AKC senior test. Just turned one the beginning of July. Congrats Rob!
First senior test is done. Smoked the land test by handling the walk up nice and calm, pick up both marks no problem and 2 whistled the blind. Picked up both water marks, lined the blind and steady on honor. Next senior is next weekend! Now that the confirmation work is done, its hunt test time! Owner Rob
Slammer and gert had good runs at the shed dog event hosted by WACKO. Slammer got fourth place and Gertie got third. One more run tomorrow.
Slammer had three days to accomplish his elite shed dog champion title. He pulled it off on the first day by taking second place giving him the needed points for his title. Thanks to WACKO for the event!
Sam Sam pulled off his first UKC HRC Finished pass today. Thanks to WISILL for the event and to judges Joe Schimpf and Patty Munson.
Hollywood! Thanks again for the event and for the photo!
Friday and today we took a break from running hunt tests and did some dock jumping. Slammer went into the jumps with 3 legs towards his master jumper title. He got one master leg Friday along with 40 points towards his senior championship. Today he got one more leg in masters for his title! He also got 20 more points towards his senior champion and 5 points towards his master championship. It was a great change and along with did an awesome job hosting and making everything run smoothly. What a fun weekend hanging with crawfish dieter and Tom!

Man I always love seeing Slammer on the UKC site!
❤️ mail day!
Sam Sam had a visit with Cree and Pete’s grandparents and uncle. He couldn’t believe it that he’s been going there for a number of years and never knew they were there. It was a quit visit. Then he got to smell the flowers as they got potted outside with the residents hanging out. One guy asked slammers name and I told him and we had a whole skit going about if judge whapner threw him in the clink and if he was out on parole. It was a fun conversation.
Thank you to the Wisconsin Amateur Field Trial Club for putting on a nice Junior Test. Bulleit titled today so it’s on to Seniors! Eska Creek Chesapeakes, Sand Spring Chesapeakes.
Congrats Ron and Bulleit!!
