Why are our Drying Coats made from cotton? 🤔

Since we launched the original Drying Coat in 2013, the market has seen many imitators, most of which use synthetic (plastic) microfibre to cut costs. So why do we continue to use natural cotton towelling? 👇

Practicality: Our Drying Coats can be machine washed and tumble dried so they are ready in no time to be used again.
Comfort: Unlike microfibre, which can cause static and cling uncomfortably to your dog's fur, cotton is much more comfortable for your dog to wear.
Breathability: Cotton is highly breathable, ensuring your dog doesn't overheat while drying off.
Hypoallergenic: Cotton towels’ natural and hypoallergenic properties minimise the risk of skin irritation or allergies.

Our Passion

My four dogs love their walks in all weathers and Ruff and Tumble was born of personal experience and my frustration with the products available on the market. I found none of the existing products to be ideal; man-made fibres, difficult to get on and off and, most importantly, the dogs did not like wearing them!
