About Warthogs 🐗..
Warthogs are found on the African savannahs are known for the 'warts' or protective bumps on their faces. These mammals, made popular by the character, Pumba, of the movie, The Lion King, can reach a weight of 120 to 250 lbs.
Warthogs are herbivores and consume grasses, plants, roots and bulbs. They sport long tusks, large, flat heads and love to wallow in mud!

Some of us, since childhood, may have heard of the Legend of the Cascadura - legend states, once you eat the Cascadura, you will live your last days in Trinidad!
Truth or not, the Cascadura, also referred to as Cascadu, has a body covered with tough amour of scales. For this reason, it is also called amoured catfish.

Treat time for Macaws! 🥜
Following our recently posted video of our free-flying blue and gold macaws at the Zoo, here again are the macaws enjoying a yummy treat of unsalted peanuts this morning..
These birds feed on a natural diet rich in fruit, seeds and nuts at their feeder and sometimes receive peanut treats from zoo staff.

Alligator Gar!
This megafish gets it's name from it's crocodilian-shaped head and teeth-filled mouth! Look closely to see it's many razor-sharp teeth!
The Alligator gar can grow to a length of around 8 feet and weigh up to 350 pounds! Today, gars can be found in North and Central America.
