A little about me and why I started this endeavor:
Hello there! My name is Kat and I am proud to offer pet sitting and services in the Beaufort County area; this includes, but is not limited to: Beaufort, Port Royal, St. Helena, Lady’s Island, Fripp Island, Bluffton, Okatie, and Hilton Head Island. If you are wondering if I will come out to you, the answer is almost always: yes! I recently moved
to the Beaufort area October of 2010 and, have to say, I love living at the beach! I moved from Augusta, Georgia shortly after finishing my Bachelor of Science in Biology at Augusta State University. I had lived in Augusta for approximately 10 years before deciding to move. My father was in the military and retired in Augusta, and I, already being in college, stayed behind to finish my degree. My first opportunity to work with animals came while I was still in high school. Gordon’s Veterinary Services. Here is where I truly realized that I couldn’t completely live my life without animals around! What started as accruing hours for my senior project, ended in me volunteering for several summers at their facility. We also saw several of the military working dogs. This is where my foundation began and only grew from here! Gordon I started working at Aidmore Animal Hospital, as a receptionist, and remained there for 2 years. One of our doctors had a specialization in ferrets, which was truly awesome to see how similar, and how not so very similar, they can be from cats. I soon began working at St. Francis, also in Augusta, which is a 24 hour animal hospital. Not only did St. Francis have normal day time practice hours, but stayed up all night for emergencies and any client who couldn’t get in during the day. Working emergency shifts most of the time, I was proud to be able to witness the saving, and sometimes participating, of lives. When I left St. Francis, after 3 years, I moved to Beaufort and began working at an animal hospital on Hilton Head as a veterinary assistant and have been here for a year so far! I enjoy living and working at the beach and the patients we see are awesome! My Services:
I provide stay-in sitting, meaning per your request I would stay the night at your home for the entirety of your departure. Multiple pet households are not a problem! For your pups I will take them on walks 3-4 times daily; once in the morning, once on my lunch break, once in the evening and a final walk before bed time. Litter boxes get scooped daily, and changed at least once a week, unless you specify sooner. Daily check-ins is another option for you. I would come by your home 3 times a day to walk your kid, feed, water, scoop the box, or whatever your request may be. Dog walking is also a provided service. If you work long hours, night or day, I can come by and walk your dog per your request, or spend some TLC time with you kitty. Also while you are away I can water the plants, check the mail, or just about anything you may request. I would love to meet your furry, and not so furry, family, no matter what kind. Dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, snakes, turtle, etc are all friends of mine! My rates are quite reasonable, and are always open for discussion. Any questions, please feel free to contact me!!
