Yoshi the One-Eared Wonder I am a survivor! Hi! Thanks for visiting me! We don't think my first owners were very nice :( but my FOREVER family is GREAT!! What happened to my ear? Owee! YAY!!!

Here's a little bit about me :)
My real name is Yoshiko, but call me Yoshi

kids, kitties, and elderly women. I like big tough-looking men just fine! My favorite people are Gramma, Grampa, and Dad. No one knows for sure, but since I was born in a puppy mill, my poor, stressed mama probably chewed part of it off when she was cleaning me as a newborn. The vet thinks that some mean person cut the rest off with scissors! I can still hear out of that ear, though! Then when I was 8, Mom found a big lump on my leg, up by my hip. She thought it was just a fatty thing like a lot of dogs get, and said she'd ask the vet about it next time I went in for shots. Then a few months later she saw me licking it and it was red like a big zit! So I went to the vet and he did a test and said it could be cancer, and Mom and Dad were really worried. The vet cut it out, and sent it off; it came back as a malignant nerve sheath tumor http://bit.ly/jOMC6O They are really weird, so he talked to some experts at Okla. State Vet Med. and they said it was really rare! BUT my vet got ALL OF IT!! I keep going back for check-ups and it's stayed gone! :) Mom is so happy and relieved that I am OK :)

Here's how I got my name! (not after the dinosaur, either!)
My first family named me Gidget, then Abby; when my REAL mommy adopted me, my name was Abby. She wanted me to bond with her parents' pack, Andy, Binky, and Abbey. Confusing! They called me Little Abby, but I didn't understand. One night Mom was watching a show about Japanese designer Yojhi Yamamoto, and she thought they said "Yoshi". I tilted my head...my new name! Luckily, even though she misunderstood "Yojhi", "Yoshi" is a real Japanese name! It means "good and respectful"...perfect! If you add "-ko" to the end it means "good, respectful child"; "Yoshiko"! My nicknames are "Doe-Doe" (rhymes w/ yo-yo), "Dofie","Dose" "Dody", "Doe", and "Yojhi Yamamoto". Mom's a weirdo :)

I love chewies, treats, sleeping, walkies, sleeping, snoring, watching bunnies and going for a ride! And when I get REALLY excited I throw my toys in the air and catch 'em with my paws! Thanks for liking my page and for reading my story!

A HUGE thank you to Hilton High School Robotics team for designing a smaller/lighter wheelchair for Lundy until he grows into his Walkin’ Wheels!
And the platform for Herman is awesome!!

Good thoughts and prayers for Zoey!

Update on my little Zoey: after an ultrasound our vet discovered that Zoey's gallbladder is extremely inflamed which is causing her liver levels to be extremely high (normal is 100 and she's at 3,000). She's taking 4 prescriptions and is on a special diet. Please keep those good thoughts coming-we'll retest in a few weeks and hope it comes back down.

For now, all of her visits are cancelled so she can rest. We miss you all!❤🐾

I DID NOT want to get up!! 😡

#tbt to last year, when Mom woke me up so I could go eat.

Why does she keep picking on me?? 😢😼💩

Sometimes I like to eat questionable things I find in the yard, but mostly I like to ignore my mom 😁

Sometimes I have a hard time getting around, but Mom helps me! :)

One minute before Mom started to film me, I was going 🐒💩 but calmed right down when the camera came on. Zero evidence of my naughtiness, 🍭!

In the first few frames, you'll see Rosa being shakey. Mom doesn't know why she does it, but I do. It's so Mom will feel sorry for her and give her treats! What a bad little Rosa!!

She learned "shake" from me! 😁

This is a *very mild* version of the nose whistling I was talking about. Toward the end, Dad starts singing along with me.
