Update on our spunky Sally: After a few scary weeks and some additional weeks of slow improvement, Sally is starting to act like her old self. She is eating again, has more energy, and her p**p is actually almost in a group (yes...I am including a p**p picture because it looks so much better than the brown water we were seeing for weeks). Tonight, she even had some fun doing hands free showmanship with Eliot. She lost a LOT of weight, but she seems to be gaining now. Most importantly, the sparkle in her eye is BACK! We still have more recovering to do, but I can finally breathe again. Thanks for all the positive energy and prayers.

Today's creature feature...our broodmare extrodinaire... Too Sleepy to Kare aka Kari. Kari is pregnant with her third foal to One Special Asset. She is getting rather large and uncomfortable but will still lay down a killer showmanship pattern just for fun with the kids in the arena. She gave birth to the farm's first baby who is now my giant lug of a show gelding, Jovi. She also gave birth to a sweet triple registered filly, Janis. I am excited to meet her third baby in the next few months. However, she is more than just a great momma. This mare can move, trail, and swim. Apparently, she is also much better at selfies than Wyatt. We love our Kare Bear!

Today's creature feature is on our sweet and spicy little pony horse, Mustang Sally. Sally has been on loan to us for almost three years. She is the world's best teacher horse there is. She is honest, kind, and talented. This little mare can do it all from pleasure, to trail, to speed. She has taken care of three of my four kids. Before she came to my family, she took care of another young lady as she began horse showing. You know how special your horse is when judges remember her by name and say "hello" to her in the pen.

Sally has grown seriously ill the past few weeks, and it makes me pause to think about how priceless she truly is. Please send all of your positive thoughts for healing to our Sally. We love her dearly.
