Winter Solstice: The light of the Sun begins a new solar cycle at Winter Solstice. The rays pe*****te into the darkness. The life giving rays nurture the new life cultivated there. This is reflected in nature and the essence of new beginning all around us.
Prior to Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere we experience the shortest days with the least amount of daylight and longest, darkest nights of the year. In this season the dark triumphs over the light, but Winter Solstice signifies the turning point!
Winter Solstice is the great, calm awakening before the Sun's strength builds, and days grow longer. It can be a time to turn inward, rest and nurture hope for new growth.
As we walk through this season of darkness turning into light—allow yourself to rest in the stillness of the dark, anticipate the changing season, and dwell in the hope of the arrival of brighter, joyful days ahead.
