Hey guys, my friend Ryan lives in Asheville, North Carolina. Even after their home was completely ravaged by flooding, he and his girlfriend are selflessly and tirelessly volunteering their time and efforts to help their community with rescue and rehabilitation. I have the absolute best job in the entire universe. But the one aspect of it that never gets any easier is losing a client. All of them are like family, they all hold such a special place in my heart. Some of them love me so well and have helped me just as much as I’ve helped them.

Bentley was one of those pets. This boy was there for me on some of the worst days of my life over the past year. He let me soak him in my tears and worked so hard to cheer me up and make me laugh on those bad days. He kept Lorenzo in line and made sure he didn’t play too rough with me. He trusted me and was the best snuggler. He never shied away from giving you a piece of his mind!

Thank you to his mama Kathleen for sharing her baby with me and for entrusting him to my care. I’ll surely miss him forever and he will always be my number 1 old man!

See you on the other side, my boy! 😇

I genuinely mean it when I say I’ve never met an animal I didn’t love, and boy do I love ALL of my clients. But so much love can sometimes set you up for heartache, like losing a client as sweet as Jumper. I’m so thankful we got some more time together this summer just before she passed. 🥺

Jumper was the sweetest old gal. She was shy, but once she trusted you she was your best friend and I’m not sure of a feeling more rewarding than earning that kind of friendship. She loved to just sit and swing quietly on neighborhood watch duty and loved to cuddle with me under the blankets at night.

I sure will miss this peanut. 🥺

Message from Owner: Petty is a special needs, indoor only cat whom requires daily medication. he snuck out in the middle of the night on 5/2/21 but it wasn’t discovered until the morning when we woke up around 9. spotted him once but he ran off- he’s obviously very spooked as he ran from me even after knowing it was me and looking at me. He is an integral member of my family and my absolute best friend. he leaves behind a litter mate who is beside himself with worry, i can only imagine how he feels. i know how worried i am myself. I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge one of my very first clients and absolute, very favorite dudes I’ve ever been lucky enough to love.

Moe was a gentle giant, super cautious of new people, but once he felt safe with you he loved you so well and so freely!! He was the sweetest friend, there were quite a few times he let me cry all over him. Sometimes we would lay in the grass together and take naps...and Nicki’s neighbors would laugh at us but we never cared, we were just happy to vibe together.

We were two peas in a pod, who spent our time together snacking, napping, laying in the sunshine and turning in really early at night; with Moe always leading the way to bed. I’ll never forget the first time we stayed together, and ironically I still remember our last.

Nicki, thank you again for always entrusting your best friend to my care. It’s always an honor to be trusted with somebody so precious. You truly had the best boy, with the sweetest eyes and a big giant heart of gold. I will forever miss Moe and he will forever be my number one client. All of my love, my dear friend. As always, I am here for whatever you need whenever it may be. 💓
