Here are some great tips to REALLY work on reducing barking. It does require lots of consistency and time, but I would recommend these approaches over other adverse training methods.

The owner of this cat noticed that he would take a piece of food in his mouth and then leave the house every afternoon.
Curious, he decided to follow him one day and found out that he was taking the food to this poor doggy who had been abandoned and chained to a post by his owner. He adopted and now both are best friendโs โค๏ธ.

Annie and Dexter are another sibling/bonded pair that had a big birthday this month. They are poodle mixes that celebrated their 14th birthday on April 12th this year. Still young at heart, these two love walkies with Leigh and especially the treats they get afterwards!! ๐๐พ๐ถ๐ถ Happy Birthday, pups!
Happy belated birthday to Luther and Bentely. Before April gets away from us, we need to feature these two litter mates and brothers who turned 7 on April 4th. They have very different personalities, but they both love to sunbathe and go for walkies. Luther loves belly rubs, and while Bentley can be a bit more shy, once you gain his trust he is also very affectionate. ๐๐ถ๐ถ๐พ

Can anyone find room in your heart/home for this kitty? ๐ป He's an approximately 2-3 y.o. stray that my client has been feeding outside of her home. He showed up recently after being attacked - maybe by a coyote or another cat? They took him to the vet and he got some antibiotics and flea treatment (though no signs of fleas), but my client can't keep him - he's stressed out in a small room in their house and their 17 year old cat is extremely stressed out, and there are no available spots at shelters. His in the Algonquin area. Please share, and thank you for your consideration!

It's no coincidence that Leigh's birthday is also St. Patrick's Day๐๐ We ALL know how LUCKY we are to have her at Pause for Pets. She is one of the most caring, thoughtful and hard-working employees/colleagues that we have EVER worked with. Her attention to detail is amazing and she has a great sense of dog behavior. Leigh manages to keep them in line while also earning their love and affection - just look at how much Miele ADORES her pal, Leigh - even if she doesn't let Miele eats scraps on the ground on garbage day!!

Whatโs with those hairless cats said many. This rare feline is called a Peterbald. The Peterbald cat was created in St. Petersburg Russia in 1994. They are a cross between an Oriental Shorthair and a Don Sphinx. Peterbalds are very easy cats to own: affectionate, playful, intelligent, trainable and kid friendly. We have our own Peterbald in our Furamily named Chole. She is beloved by her cat sitters๐๐
We have a new featured pet for February! Lincoln, a nine year labradoodle, is known as the Dude-el. Heโs a cool dude in a loose mood. ๐ Heโs all about giving and gettinโ looove, going on walkies and getting a treat afterwardsโฆโฆhe will insist on it with his bark๐ถ. Say hello to Lincoln! The Dude-el abides!
