For now, his name is Abe. Please consider helping save his life as all the shelters are full. This guy is just too good to be euthanized.

We have secured a foster for Max but Tonto & Amore still need our help & we hate to leave family behind. Please message us if you can help, if we can't secure a foster they will be taken to the county shelter where owner surrenders do not fair well 😢

Tonto:
-adult male
-brown coat
-boxer mix
-neutered
-house-broken-crate trained
-loving but better for teens than smaller children due to size
-roughly 80lbs and lethargic

Amoré:
-adult female
-white coat with black spots
-house-broken
-can be crated but prefers to be with her people
-active
-needs to be an only dog. She is a bit of a princess!
-walks well on a leash
-appx 20lbs

EDIT: it turns out the puppies are about five months old. They are in Marietta and are going to have all their shots and be neutered. We need one more puppy foster and a foster for the dad. FOSTERS needed! Dad and puppies dumped in the a neighborhood in Bartow County. Bartow is not accepting any intakes at this time. Puppies are between 12 and 14 weeks old and we are unsure on the dad. They appear to be hound mixes, and are very sweet. We will have everyone vetted as appropriate to their age. We will provide everything that you need. Please fill out a foster application found on our website at www.save1atatime.org. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at [email protected]. If you know of anybody who may consider fostering, please pass it along. We’re having a lot of difficulty finding Foster’s and we really don’t want these kids to sit out in the woods in this neighborhood. Our volunteer is out there right now trying to catch them. Layla was rescued by us in February 2022 and found her furever home in January 2023. Yesterday she had to protect her turf! In the background, you will hear her 4 year old human playmate tell the deer Bless You 😂.

Pupdate: rescued! 🎉 This gorgeous Chocolate Lab is in danger because she's been so shy & frightened at the shelter. She has now learned to trust some of the staff & let them pet her. We think she'll really blossom once out of the noisy, scary shelter, all she needs is a patient foster she can trust. Pupdate: rescued! 🎉 Help! Two-year-old Lab mix, Red was left behind by the family after his owner passed away with just stale cat food & dirty water. He seems to know his owner is gone. 😔 We'd love to help him find a new, loving family where he can live indoors & be given good food. To do that we need a foster, can you help? Look at this sweet goofball! He looks like such a fun pup & we'd love to save him with a foster. Kraven is almost a year old and weighs 51 lbs. What we are about!

We are a 501(c)3 approved Non-Profit, dedicating 100% of donations directly to the dogs. All administration costs are paid by the founders. We hope to help as many families as possible to keep their pets rather than turn them into the shelters because they can no longer afford them.

As far as rescue dogs, we will pull from high kill North Georgia shelters and place them in the best homes possible by interviewing, screening references, home checks and evaluating the initial bonding between the dog and potential adopter.

Community Service - Assist members of our community spay and neuter their pets, ensure they are fed and receive appropriate vaccinations and preventatives when in need.

Vetting - We provide our pups with top notch vet care with the best vets in north Georgia. Any special needs will be fully disclosed prior to adoption as well as in the adoption agreement.
