UPDATE

Hello everyone. Sorry for the delay in an update.
I had to go for surgery just over 2 weeks ago now to have my collar bone pinned.

Surgery was successful and my following appointment with the Dr’s have told me that I am allowed to start working again in 3 weeks time to ensure the bone is healed.

I am currently still having to wear a sling for another week and only really allowed little movement of my arm

However I have been having my mum kindly helping me out with some dogs in the evenings/weekends if they’re desperate etc.

I have been messaging everyone individually to get something booked in for them so please be patient and I will message you as soon as I can.

Really sorry about this and hopefully everything will be back to normal soon.

I have a list of people wanting to get booked in so please message me if you’d like an appointment

IMPORTANT MESSAGE
Hello everyone.
I’m afraid I will be out of work for a short while as I have broken my collar bone.

I am awaiting a follow up appointment on Friday to see if I will need surgery or not to have my collar bone pinned but will keep everyone updated.

I will be getting round to message everyone as soon as possible about their appointments whether you’d like to postpone etc.
hopefully I should recover pretty quickly and shouldn’t be missing too many appointments.

If there’s anyone who would like home visits for their dogs whilst you’re at work which are walking distance (I can’t currently drive) im more than happy to do so. If they’re well behaved walking I could possibly do walks too 🐶

Really sorry for the inconvenience and hopefully it doesn’t effect too many people.

As the weather warms up you might be tempted to shave or clip down your Australian Shepherd to keep them cool.

STEP AWAY FROM THE CLIPPERS!

Science has proven that double coated (guard or top coat and undercoat which is fluffy and soft) breeds should not be clipped down but should instead be kept throughly brushed to remove the dead undercoat. The undercoat is vital in keeping your Australian Shepherd warm in the winter AND cool in the summer. If you shave them, they’re unable to regulate their heat naturally which makes them more susceptible to heat stroke and sunburn to the skin.

Instead, grab a regular metal comb and “line comb” the dog to remove dead undercoat. Go slowly.. line by line down to the skin. This will help your dog keep itself cooler and reduce shedding in your home!

I like to think that the dogs of rainbow bridge, will be lining up to greet the wonderful Paul O’Grady today. Waiting to welcome a beautiful man who did so much good for their kind. I like to think he will be rolling around with dogs he lost, dogs he saved and dogs who simply heard of his kindness. Covered in fluff, smothered in kisses and loved, loved loved.

Thank you for making us laugh till we cried and for making a true difference this side.
You will be missed, never forgotten and always loved.

Rest in peace wonderful man.
