Japan Cat Network International is a registered NPO that helps people help pets.

We provide advice, support, materials and other information so that people can assist animals in need within their own community. JCN has helped to start hundreds of trap-neuter and return / rescue efforts throughout Japan. JCN runs two small no-kill shelters; one of which serves as a rescue base in response to the Tohoku disaster. We are committed to educating the public on the benefits of spay-n

euter and we strongly support the no-kill movement. JCN has been featured internationally and on Animal Planet’s Must Love Cats program. Dozens of articles and reports have been produced about JCN’s efforts. We’ve been extra busy recently with a few needy cases. Kuro and patchwork came from the same location in Kyoto, living outside a convenience store and begging for food. Kuro’s injured leg has steadily improved, and Patchwork is slowly warming up. Both could really use a patient kind touch to help them understand that they belong in a home. Sweet Orion suddenly developed symptoms and was diagnosed with FIP. Thankfully, this is no longer a death sentence, as long as daily medication is given for around 3 months.
