Had a major breakthrough with Ninja (black cat) during my latest stint of visits. I normally either don't see her, or she hides on the wardrobe or under the bed.
This toy enticed her to come down from the wardrobe & play. She even sniffed my hand towards the end 😻🥳
Rupert found what I think is a horse's overreach boot in Robin's Wood on Thursday & had fantastic fun playing keepaway with Bella.
He soon realised quite how persistent she is though 😂. Every time he needed a little lie down, she would bark at him, as though to say "gimme a turn".
This was the 1st time she managed to snaffle it but would easily abandoned the boot when I asked, for him to collect again, as the chase was more fun than the prize 🤩
The awesome foursome finishing their walk in Robins Wood earlier.
Luna is still in season, so couldn't enjoy the woods as fully as usual & Ziggy gets limited off lead time to protect his dicky hips.
Rupert really got Red to play yesterday morning 🤩. When Red spins, he's really enjoying himself, even if his noises sound feisty
It's no hardship to go back to work after the Xmas break on your birthday when you get greeted by such happy faces 🥰

I've been quiet for far too long. Here's some of the cuties I've visited since my last post
Yup, glad there was the river nearby, phew!
PS. Also that Cole chose to swim.
PPS. Only time I'll throw sticks for dogs (especially as a certain walking buddy has a tendency to let toys float off downstream)
Sorry for the overexcited talking 😅 but I've found it really helps a dog learn what I want from him/her when encouraging swimming. I did lots of woohoo-ing, good boy-ing & clapping when getting Enzo to show Cole the ropes. Cole looked at me like "I'm a good boy too, I'll show you" & off he went 👏💪🏊
Things we learnt today:
Enzo is now a swimmer, as long as he has a target to fetch.
He's getting close to wanting to swim for it's own sake too (hovering in the deep by 2nd "good boy").
He isn't fazed by the current. (Note, after this video I did make sure to stay downstream of his fetch in case he wanted help).
Also, dehydrated liver is the bomb. All dogs today really enjoyed my homemade treat - good job I have more!
Great to have spent time visiting this fusspot again & even better that he also got visits from Julia from Gone Walkies who stepped in to help as I went away on Friday. Teamwork 💪
I can't really believe I get to call this work! Look at Alfie's feet 😍, love him already 💖
