Great pic of a couple of Prairie Prime Epagneul Bretons in Nevada. Proud owner got a limit of Gamble's and both dogs bagged their first Chukar in the wild.

Prairie Prime LLC is an agribusiness in Oklahoma producing prime Epagneul Breton (French Brittany) versatile upland bird and waterfowl gun dogs for the modern hunter. Prairie Prime also offers Epagneul Breton specific gun dog products, Epagneul Breton specific training services, and is an authorized reseller of Inukshuk Professional Dog Food in North America. Prairie Prime’s versatile dogs live an active lifestyle serving as our upland bird and waterfowl gun dogs a minimum of 60 days per season and otherwise are with us as family.
Todd Farris, owner of Prairie Prime LLC, enjoyed watching the dog work so much as a new upland bird hunter in his early 40's that he began searching for a versatile upland pointing dog and waterfowl retriever that would meet his needs not only as hunting companion but as family dog in the home. The search led him to the Epagneul Breton. In a brief period of time he became an EB enthusiast promoting the smallest of the pointing dog breeds at every opportunity. The Farris family are primarily upland bird and waterfowl hunters. The Epagneul Breton is a bird hunting gun dog first and foremost. And at Prairie Prime LLC we have not strayed from this focus. We use our companions on wild birds consistently. Our goal with Prairie Prime LLC is to bring new hunters to the upland bird and waterfowl hunting lifestyle through education, conservation, and to also to bring new owners to the Epagneul Breton gun dog through breed awareness, “de Prairie Prime” and “pour Saint Hubertus” lines of EB puppies, and through involvement in regional and national clubs.
Todd founded the Chisholm Trail Epagneul Breton Gun Dog Club (CTEBGDC) in the fall of 2015 and currently presides as President of the CTEBGDC serving the states of Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Missouri, and Arkansas. The club has hosted specialty and conformation shows, training events, UKC sanctioned testing events, and actively participates in upland bird and waterfowl habitat conservation with partnerships with like-minded organizations. The CTEBGDC facilitates a digital presence for the promotion of the Epagneul Breton with a website www.chisholmtrailebclub.com and a page. Todd also served on the Club de L'Epagneul Breton of the United States (CEB-US) Board of Directors www.ceb-us.org acting as the national club Secretary May 15, 2016 - May 14, 2019. Under Todd’s membership directorship the CEB-US grew 85% in membership headcount over 3 years. He maintains annual memberships in the NRA, Quail Forever, Ducks Unlimited, NWTF, a Supporting Membership in the CEB-US, and a Premier Membership in the CTEBGDC. Todd is a Silver Level donor to the Epagneul Breton Foundation as well as an annual donor to the NRA Hunting initiative to protect the sport of hunting in the United States. He also serves as a UKC licensed TAN and WRT judge to the field trial community and is currently Vice-Chairman of the Epagneul Breton Foundation a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Todd commits Prairie Prime LLC to the guidelines for breeding practices of the CEB-US to ensure the betterment of the breed in the United States. He has been a strong stakeholder in the Epagneul Breton in the United States by creating breed awareness with the bird hunting public at venues like Pheasants Forever's Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic trade shows in Kansas City and Minneapolis and also in spearheading two different Scott Linden's Wingshooting USA television episodes that showcased the Epagneul Breton gun dog. The shows aired on national television in August of 2017 and July of 2018. Prairie Prime LLC was also featured in Gun Dog Magazine in the March/April/May 2018 issue showcasing the Epagneul Breton gun dog breed.
Prairie Prime LLC is committed to producing premier Epagneul Bretons for the field, the duck blind, and the home. It is our opinion there is no better versatile gun dog than the Epagneul Breton for the more southern regions of the United States better serving the needs of the modern versatile bird hunter. Today's bird hunter is becoming more demanding in their desire to own a gun dog that serves as an upland pointing dog, waterfowl retriever, and indoor family dog. The Epagneul Breton breed is not only an amazing upland pointing dog for the foot hunter but it has the natural ability (when water proven dogs are bred) to excel as a waterfowl retriever. The EB takes up a small footprint in the duck blind, they possess strong retrieving instincts, and are good swimmers. The Epagneul Breton is especially useful for early season duck hunting and in more southern geographic areas of the United States where waterfowl hunting season temperatures are not so frigid. The EB is a single coat dog so obviously will not be as hardy for frigid weather water retrieves when compared to a double coat dog. However, our experience has been the EB serves the versatile function as a waterfowl retriever successfully in our region of the United States. And today's hunter largely wants their hunting companion to come indoors as an integral part of the family. The Epagneul Breton being the smallest of the pointing breeds with its minimal tail easily proves to be a wonderful family house dog with a little training as a puppy.
