Beautiful monty had a busy day yesterday. His first solo walk in the country park, he was fabulous and listened like a star. He then had an afternoon doing a meet and greet in a local care home, his first bus ride home and a sleepover at a friend's house.

Having lots of new experiences and he got in with it like a trooper, despite some moments of anxiousness and a lot of new smells and experiences.

Lovely Lyra had her spa visit today. It was so needed. We love our Americans fully clipped , so don't look at this amazing breed in full show glamour and dismiss them as " high maintenance " or not a proper working breed ... they will.be whatever you want them to be ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Meet lyra ❤️.... who is finally off to the groomers this week 🙈🤣. This beautiful soul is everything an American cocker should be and more. We don't know we have her. Lyra is momo's mum and that amazing personality has absolutely been passed on. And she cab lick her own nose 🤣.

Happy mothers day to all the amazing parents of 2 legged and 4 legged babies out there. And a special shout out to all the parents in our daisychain family. We love having you all ❤️

Love the spaniels, but not the hair. I totally understand this ❤️. That's why we have the amazing American cockerpoo. Happy, playful, intelligent, loving, empathetic, perfect family cockapoo option. Our first family dog infact, and still going strong at 14 years old.

Momo here is our gorgeous baby girl from lyra last year. And we adore her. She is just perfect.

We can't wait to welcome this year's summer litter, and I'm going to try really hard not to keep one, but sometimes that's so hard 🤣.

Morning peeps. This page is new so bare with while I find the time to get it going.

Introducing the many looks of Monty. I imported monty from a highly recommended breeder in Hungary. This colour is not one I have seen often in the UK. More often you will see black, buff, red and white and tri coloured. I fell in love and knew he would be perfect as my first American stud dog ♥️ I am a sucker for a chocolate and a parti coloured dog 🐕

I choose to clip off their coats once the adult coat comes through. It's far more practical for the area we live in and the walks we do. But I wish I had the time to keep them long and flowing as they do look beautiful in full show mode.

But equally cracking clipped out , very smart when in working look. Americans are great working dogs, which I think people forget or don't realise as they think when they see them in show mode and think that's what they do. A bit like the poodle, an exceptional working dog but rarely thought if or brought to do the job intended. Go find a breeder with working poodles, they are fabulous when out.

This is why the American makes a perfect family spaniel choice. Quieter than the working cocker, happy to sleep all day or go out and work the field. Friendly and obedient, smaller so ideal size for children to walk . And in my experiance, more submissive and less pushy when in a pack. They wait at the back for their turn, not pushing through and jumping up to be the first. Patiently waiting for their treat. ♥️

Hello peeps. Welcome to this new page for the Amazing American Cocker Spaniel. You may or may not have come across this breed before, but my aim is to spread awareness of this breed as they aren't so well known as their English cousins.

I am based in the South of the country, where you will very rarely find an American spaniel for sale or out on a walk. Yet everyone stops and asks what my dogs are when out and about and love them. Further up the country they seam to be more available.

Despite wanting to breed and show off this wonderful dog for many many years, finding a breeder in the UK who would actually sell me one with breeding rights has been very hard. And to be fair, every breeder has the right to protect their lines ♥️ So I'm not saying this as a total negative, just felt such a shame that none would take the time to get to know myself, see how my dogs live and see that actually, the dogs would have a lovely life running the forest, weekly beach runs and sofa surfing.

So I bit the bullet, asked around and finally got some wonderful recommendations and advice about a great breeder in Hungary. After chatting, Monty arrived a week later, and I had my future stud dog. I have made a couple of new contacts and I am hoping to import a girl later this year.

I have also been so lucky, that while making enquires to a breeder up country with a cracking American stud as to wether they would ever consider selling me a puppy to start my own line, that I was offered a stunning girly and I can not wait for her to join me. The universe is aligning and I plan to share and show this breed off as an excellent family spaniel choice.

For people who love the spaniels but NOT the hair that comes with them, the American cockapoo is the BEST cockapoo cross out their for temperament, size and health when bred correctly. We have produced these for many many years and are always very popular if ever we are in a position to have a litter.

Come, follow and learn. You may just decide that this is the perfect new family member for you ♥️
