Just to say a HUGE thank you to all our supporters who came to our Festive stand yesterday at the AIKB Fayre. I am delighted to let you know that with sales from the hampers (13 still be delivered and paid for) plus sales from the festive collection it will raise an amazing 1470 euros. We would like to thank Ann W for her support helping manage the stand and Kathryn LJ for making the lovely wreaths. We would also like to say a very big thank you to Lesley Rose for all her time, hard work and commitment in sharing this mammoth task and for also for very kindly donating the ingredients bought... Between us we made, baked and iced 56 christmas cakes, 400 mince pies, 464 shortbread trees, 110 christmas puddings, 120 chocolate florentines, 162 truffles, 72 millionaire shortbread etc etc... The funds raised will be used to cover the sterilisation fees for abandoned stray cats in the communes of Laniscat, Guerledan and Gouarec where we working in 'solidarity' with the mairies. We would also like to thank Sarah and the team at the AIKB too for offering us the opportunity of having a stand at the fayre .

Good morning everyone, just a polite reminder that if you have ordered a Christmas hamper for collection at the AIKB Christmas Fayre it is THIS Sunday, 1 December when you need to come and collect on the day.. We will be there from 10am until 5pm with our 'Le Festive Collection' with lots of home made indulgent Christmas treats.. No need to worry if were too late to order a hamper, there will be lots of choice on the day.. so please come along and spoil yourself and help a local animal in need at the same time.
100% of sales will go to help local animals in need.... please share to all your friends too... there will be over 40 other stalls plus refrshements at the AIKB stand.

Just to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Tombola stand at the Lescouet Gouarec Xmas Fair on Sunday. An enormous thank you to Ann and Heather for managing the stand on our behalf. a tremendous effort and we are delighted to let you know we raised 129 euros.... this will go towards paying our outstanding veterinary invoices for the little forest cat. A lady who heard of this sad situation at the tombola stand has been in touch and is collecting him tomorrow.. he still has to have some more rdz's at the vets on 9 Dec as his appointment on Monday showed he has a hairline fracture on his spine.. but he is now on inflammatory and painkiller meds and will be given the best chance and lots of tlc with Jane and Brian... thanks again everyone... together we really can make a difference. A big thank you too to Pilly and the Craft Group who organised the event and invited us along.. merci infiniment.

Les deux campagnes que nous avons promises pour nous aider à payer nos déplacements... malheureusement, il n'y a pas de profit monétaire à mettre en place un programme comme celui-ci... car il n'y a pas de frais d'adoption à payer... Cependant, nous pensons que c'est la manière la plus efficace d'essayer de répondre à la souffrance des chats errants et abandonnés. Nos deux campagnes se déroulent dans les régions de Laniscat/Gouarec/Mur de Bretagne. Nous avons des pièges et des caisses de transport pour le retour des vétérinaires, mais nous avons besoin d'aide... de l'aide pour poser les pièges, les surveiller et aider à emmener les chats chez les vétérinaires ou les ramener... environ 25 minutes maximum dans chaque direction... si vous pensez que vous aimeriez faire partie de la rotation pour que cela se produise et soit aussi efficace que possible, envoyez-moi un message privé... merci.

The two campaigns we have pledged to help pay for our underway.. sadly there is no monetary profit from implementing a scheme like this... as there is no adoption fee to be had... However, we feel this is the most effective way to try and address the suffering of stray abandoned cats. our two campaigns are in the Laniscat/Gouarec/Mur de Bretagne areas. We have traps and carriers for return from the vets, but we need help.. help to set the traps, monitor them and help to take cats to the vets or back again.. maybe 25 mins max each direction...if you think you would like to be part of rota to make this happen and be as effective as possible then please send me a private message.. thank you.

Bonjour... comme beaucoup d'entre vous le savent, nous avons pour mission de collecter des fonds pour stériliser et relâcher environ 55 chats dans les régions de Mur de Bretagne (Guerledan) et Laniscat... La semaine dernière, le grand effort a commencé et une merveilleuse dame française a déjà piégé plusieurs chats à Mur. Il y avait également trois petits chatons sur place (trop jeunes pour être stérilisés) mais nous avons payé les frais de vétérinaire pour le traitement de Coryza et une charmante association Chat l'Heuruex à Colpo a proposé de prendre les petits chatons en famille d'accueil et de les reloger, ce dont nous sommes extrêmement reconnaissants et nous nous sommes engagés à faire un don de 250 euros pour leurs frais d'association.
Lundi, la campagne à Laniscat commencera avec un grand merci à l'équipe de la mairie et à son principal coordinateur, Ludovic. Nous pensons que cette campagne s'attaque à la souffrance animale à la racine et nous espérons qu'elle contribuera à réduire la souffrance des animaux. Ces deux campagnes représentent une tâche colossale et prendront du temps et beaucoup d'efforts... mais cela montre que la solidarité peut faire beaucoup... comme vous pouvez le voir sur la photo ci-dessous des chatons enlevés à Mur... l'avant et l'après sont très éloquents. S'il vous plaît, soutenez nos événements de collecte de fonds si vous le pouvez... tous les bénéfices iront à cette cause et à l'aide d'autres animaux locaux dans le besoin. merci.

Good afternoon.. as many of you know we are on a mission to help raise money to sterilise and release approx 55 cats in the Mur de Bretagne (Guerledan) and Laniscat areas... Last week the grand effort started and a wonderful French lady has already trapped several cats in Mur. There were also three small kittens on site (too young to be sterilised) but we have paid for the vet fees for Coryza treatment and a lovely association Chat l Heuruex in Colpo has offered to take on the little kittens into foster and rehome them For which we are extremely grateful and have pledged a donation to their association costs of 250 euros.
On Monday the campaign in Laniscat commences with many thanks to the mairie's team and the key coordinator Ludovic. We feel this is tackling animal suffering a root level and hopefully will help reduce animals suffering. These two campaigns are a mammoth task and will take some time and lots of effort.. but it shows how solidarite can achieve so much... as you can see the photo below is of of the kittens taken from Mur... before and after speaks volumes. Please do support our fundraising events if you can... all profits will go to this cause and to help other local animals in need. thank you.

Appel à d'autres associations qui pourraient avoir des familles d'accueil disponibles.... Nous avons besoin d'un foyer pour ce petit homme qui a été blessé mais qui se rétablit bien... mais il pourrait toujours avoir une petite démarche étrange... .... si vous pouvez l'aider en lui offrant une famille d'accueil ou un foyer pour toujours, veuillez nous contacter... de même pour toute association animale qui pourrait avoir une famille d'accueil disponible pour lui aussi... nous couvrirons ses frais pour son icad et ses vaccins (il est déjà castré et testé FIV négatif)... donc si quelqu'un peut aider, veuillez nous contacter... merci beaucoup...

Forest Cat Boy needs urgent foster or adoption... unfortunately in his current foster he is not coping with the kittens there and needs a foster or ideally a forever home where he can be quiet on his own and get lots of love and be spoiled.. he has finished his medication now and has a check up appointment for his id and vaccinations on 3 Dec which Compassion Animaux Bretagne will pay for ... poor little man has been through so much. Ann is managing our tombola stand at the Lescouet Gouarec Xmas fayre tomorrow in order to raise funds to cover the cost of his castration, id and vaccinaion.. so please go along and say hello and purchase a ticket or two to help him. thank you. Update - chat d heureux have offered to help this little mite and place her in foster.. Compassion Animaux Bretagne will cover her hospitalisation and coryza treatment to date and we will make a donation to chats l heureux of 150 euros towards her ongoing fees prior to her adoption
daURGENT APPEAL FOR HELP
As you all know we are committed to paying for 15 stray cats in Mur de Bretagne to be sterilised.... The campaign has stared tonigh. We have just trapped a little kitten who is maybe only 3 to 4 months old and who has coryza (70% of cats have this) so she needs antibiotics and cream .. we desperately need someone who can take her tomorrow after she has been to the vets so she can get this much needed care.. please message me if you can help .. ideally a spare room, with cat bed, litter tray and some tlc.... we will cover her food and her vet fees.. thank you so much to Heidi and the municipale police for helping with this mammoth task....

APPEL URGENT À L'AIDE
Comme vous le savez tous, nous nous sommes engagés à payer la stérilisation de 15 chats errants à Mur de Bretagne.... La campagne a commencé ce soir. Nous venons d'attraper un petit chaton qui n'a peut-être que 3 ou 4 mois et qui a le coryza (70% des chats l'ont), il a donc besoin d'antibiotiques et de crème. Nous avons désespérément besoin de quelqu'un qui puisse le prendre demain après sa visite chez le vétérinaire pour qu'il puisse recevoir les soins dont il a besoin. Si vous pouvez nous aider, envoyez-moi un message. Idéalement, une chambre libre, avec un lit pour chat, un bac à litière et quelques soins. .... Nous couvrirons sa nourriture et ses frais de vétérinaire. Merci beaucoup à Heidi et à la police municipale pour leur aide dans cette tâche colossale. ....

Just an update on the little injured forest cat.. I collected him from the vets yesterday and he is now in foster with Coralie at Coupe de Patte Kreiz Breizh... he is a sweet skinny little boy.. his wound is deep and he needs to remain on medication for another two weeks... he may always have an unusual walk due to his injury. He has been castrated and is FIV negative and in a couple of weeks he will be chipped and vaccinated... Compassion Animaux Bretagne are covering his veterinary fees and Coupe de Patte Kreiz Breizh taking good care of him .... so please watch this space or news.. any suggestions out there for a name for him?

Hope you can come along and support our Tombola at the Lescouet Gouarec Xmas Fayre on 24 Nov.... Our Tombola is in aid of covering the veterinary fees for the little injured 'forest' cat (video below) and to also help with funding stray cat sterilisations. Nous serons présents à la foire de Noël de l'AIKB le 1er décembre et nous proposerons « Le Festive Collection ». Une sélection de délices saisonniers faits maison pour vous gâter et dont tous les bénéfices seront reversés à des animaux locaux dans le besoin. Nous espérons que vous pourrez venir nous saluer et faire un achat... et pour tous ceux qui ont réservé notre 'Panier de Noël', n'oubliez pas de venir le chercher et de visiter les autres stands... une chance d'enflammer votre esprit de Noël ! I am sure many of you will already be thinking about Christmas!
We will be at the AIKB Christmas Fayre on 1 Dec and will be offering' Le Festive Collection'. A selection of home made seasonal delights to spoil yourselves with all profits going to help local animals in need. We do hope you can some along and say hello and make a purchase... and for all of you who have reserved our ;Christmas Hamper' please remember to come along to collect and browse at the other stalls.. a chance to ignite your Christmas Spirit! We are still looking for homes for the Seglien kittens and cats.... There has been a fourth litter born three days ago.... but we have not been able to see them as they are hiding in the couples barn. However, we do have two little ones of this group available to reserve... one little black and white kitten (4 weeks old) and the tiny black and white one (2 weeks old who was rejected by her mum and taken in by the mum of the older litter). They are both girls.... for more information please send me a message and please share to the maximum for them please.. thank you.

Compassion Animaux Bretagne

Compassion Animaux Bretagne, fondée en 2019, est une association caritative dédiée aux animaux des refuges en Bretagne. Beaucoup d'animaux sont coincés dans des refuges pendant des années et beaucoup ne peuvent tout simplement pas faire face au traumatisme et au stress de la vie dans un refuge (oui, c'est difficile pour les animaux en refuge, même s'ils sont bien gérés, car il y a toujours trop d'animaux, trop peu de personnel et de bénévoles, et pas assez de temps à consacrer aux besoins de chaque animal). Compassion Animaux Bretagne aide à trouver des familles d'accueil où le soutien et la formation peuvent être donnés avant de trouver un foyer permanent qui convient à chaque animal. Nous soutenons les nouveaux propriétaires avec de la formation, des conseils, des frais vétérinaires, et nous serons là pour offrir un soutien continu.

C'est une partie si importante du processus de sauvetage.

Que vous souhaitiez contribuer avec de l'argent ou du temps, par des collectes de fonds ou des placements en famille d'accueil, veuillez vous renseigner davantage sur notre travail et communiquer avec nous pour nous aider à secourir ces animaux.

Compassion Animaux Bretagne, founded in 2019, is a charitable organisation devoted to re-homing animals from rescue centres in Brittany. Many animals are stuck in refuges for years and many simply cannot cope with the trauma and stress of life in a refuge (yes, it is hard for animals in refuges, no matter how well they are run, as there are always too many animals, too few staff/volunteers, and not enough time to devote to each animal's needs). Compassion Animaux Bretagne helps find foster homes where support and training can be given before finding a forever loving home that is right for each animal. We support the new owners with training, advice, vets’ fees and will be there to offer ongoing support.
