With my books being full for quite some time, I’ve finally been able to have the space to take on a few new dogs at the start of this year that have been on my waiting list.

This lovely, Border Collie has been waiting ever so patiently for space and yesterday was his moment!

An incredible amount of dead undercoat was removed to allow him to feel much more comfortable! 🐾 💙

I just wish to take this opportunity to thank each & everyone of you for your patronage & support over the last year.

A huge thank you also, for all the wonderful Christmas gifts & tips received throughout December … your kindness & generosity has been very overwhelming.
I’m so lucky to have such lovely clients and fantastic 4 legged friends.

Let’s talk about matting…. It’s getting to that time of year where clients want their pet’s hair leaving longer, which is absolutely fine, but they must be more diligent with brushing to prevent matting from occurring….A little & often is my motto! ‘Break your dog down into sections’ on the body when brushing/combing to make it easier not to miss any areas, paying particular attention to ‘armpits’, belly area and longer areas such as ears & tails When matting becomes too bad to be removed, we, as groomers sometimes have to shave your pet. We don’t like shaving a dog just as much as you, the owner hates to have it done, but dematting a badly matted pet may cut & bruise the skin, so humanity must always come before vanity! Non shedding breeds such as Yorkies, Shih Tzus & Cockapoos etc have higher maintenance coats & need more frequent grooming sessions to prevent matting. This little Yorkie Mix, who is one of my regulars that came into the salon today, is a great example to use as a demonstration of how quickly & easily matting can occur. Hers was not too bad, however you can see the hair starting to knot in the video, but we’ve caught it just in time before it gets too bad. Sorry for the bad video quality… I’m not a good public speaker! 🤦‍♀️😆

Chicken tales update… 🐔George finds his voice .🙄😳 This morning I was threatened with a divorce!

Christmas rush is in full swing….the hair’s better on my floors than yours!

Love that this is only her second visit with me and she feels totally chilled out and comfortable!! 🐾😍
