SKÆRGÅRDENS DELICIOUS LOVE II

It is a bit nerve-wracking to give the same name to a sister of one of the most successful Connemara mares in recent times – nevertheless, this one reminded us so much of her sister when arriving to the world that she couldn’t be called anything else🥹

The shoes to fill were (and still are) big, and if she didn’t develop as hoped, we might risk being a bit ridiculed. Last year, she won the Junior Champion title with ease, and yesterday at this year’s annual DCPS show, she once again underscored that she has been given the perfect name❤️

Lisa (her stablename) won the 2 year old filly class with amongst others a perfect 10 for type, 9 for movement, and 9 overall. Then she went on to win the Junior Champion title and finished the day by taking the SUPREME CHAMPION😱🤩

To say we are proud is an understatement, and when arriving back home both daddy (Wirtsmühle Delaneys) and mommy (Skærgårdens Secret Love) was given a huge kiss! We are so grateful having such amazin ponies in our stable, and we owe them so much for all they have done and still is doing for us❤️

6 yo Skærgårdens Date Night is slowly getting ready for the qualifiers of the Danish Sportspony Championship in dressage for youngsters - he is bodybuilding and gets stronger every day💪 Fingers crossed for continued improvement to the first qualifier in September🤞

Well... Where to even begin?

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us for this weekend’s INTERNATIONAL CONNEMARA PONY WORKSHOP 2024 from around the globe, including participants from New Zealand, Australia, the USA, Ireland, Canada, England, the Netherlands, Austria, and Germany.

We are overwhelmed by the incredible support and enthusiasm shown by all of you. This remarkable turnout demonstrates the unity and immense strength within our community, which greatly benefits the Connemara pony.

A special thank you goes out to our guest speakers Cathy Snow, Joe Burke, Fiona Comer, Sarah McRae Thrasher, Cáit Brandy Hennessy, and Tracy E. Garland for enlightening us with their fascinating presentations on Connemara ponies.

Your contributions made this event truly memorable and impactful.

We look forward to more engaging sessions in the future!

This event is something we can live off and fondly look back on for many years to come😍

Today, on her 1st birthday, our beautiful filly Skærgårdens Dance For Love by Skærgårdens Dance Night/ Skærgårdens Dream Of Love/ Wirtsmühle Delaney’s began her journey to new pastures in the US with Sarah Lipkowitz🥰

We wish her and Sarah the best of luck, and we can’t wait to follow you together in the future - We have enjoyed watching her grow and turning into such a young & beautiful looking pony, now she is ready for new adventures❤️

Evita was our foundationmare, who we bought in 1999 as a nearly 3 yo❤️ We did not know at the time what an impact she had on our future breeding, and we owe her so much. Evita was a fantastic showjumer-before being implemented in our breedingprogram and being the dam of a total of 5 class 1 stallions (2 in France, 1 in Sweden, 1 in Holland and 1 in Denmark). Her last foal was a filly, which we were so thankful of, and named her Evita’s Love🌺. We obviously kept her to our future breeding, and last year she was graded in class 1 with amongst others 9 for type, 9 for trot and 9 overall. Furthermore she was awarded with the titles “Best mare of the year 2023” and “Best pony of the inspection”. Evita’s Love reminds me so much of her mother and everytime we look at her, we sends our beloved foundationmare Evita a loving thought❤️💔 Swipe to see Evita and her daugther (last two pics are of Evitas’s Love)
