because we like the notion of folks walking their dogs, visiting with other folks in the neighborhood, and sitting for a spell on the front porch. Humans catching up, dogs catching up-thats how it was in our neighborhood. It was a real community and we want to encourage that community spirit. Animals are such an important part of our lives. Did you know that some popular holiday plants are toxic to dogs and cats?
🌺 Lilies are HIGHLY toxic, especially to cats. Every part of the plant is toxic, including the water dish. It is recommended to never bring lilies into the home if you have cats as they can cause life-threatening kidney damage if ingested.
🎄 Poinsettias, holly and mistletoe are not deadly but can cause stomach upset, vomiting and diarrhea.
🌿 Yew is commonly used in wreaths and decor. It can cause tremors, difficulty breathing, vomiting, seizures and even death.
Keep these festive plants out of reach (or out of the house) for a safe holiday season! 🐾

🚫🍇 Important pet safety reminder: Grapes and raisins may seem harmless, but they can be toxic to pets—even in small amounts! This is more commonly seen in dogs, but cats can be at risk too. My own cat, Leo, was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease at just seven years old. Both my vet and I were surprised, given his age, but I learned that CKD can sometimes result from what’s called an “acute kidney injury,” often caused by ingesting something toxic, like grapes or raisins.

Please be extra cautious with holiday treats and keep these foods far out of reach for your pets. And as always, if you think your pet may have eaten something harmful, contact your vet right away. ❤️

Our goal is to provide real foods that benefit the health of all animals. Our ingredients are unparalleled in wholesomeness, many grown on our farm, in our garden, orchard or greenhouses. Fresh and of exceptional quality. If not from our own farm, we constantly focus on improving our ability to source ingredients, supplies, packaging and resources from as nearby as possible continually improving upon our carbon pawprint.
