A little sneak peek into getting our rescue residents healthy and back on track. This is dinner for Bruce, the sweet boy that was threatened to be shot. He is incredibly skinny and still a little sickly with a uri. I like to give the option of both hard and wet food, also accompanied with hydracare because he is dehydrated, along with a supplement for healthy tummy and skin. I then like to top it with a probiotic to help aid in digestion. When these cats come here there is so much that goes into getting them healthy again and ready to find their furever homes.
*side note, I love finding these little kid trays at stores for like $1, they are the perfect kitty meal tray!*
This man did so amazing with his haircut yesterday. And for those asking about sweaters for him we have TONS and he will be putting on a fashion show later!
Hey @carhartt our special needs boy here, Bolt, wants you to know that he’s a hard workin man and only ever dawns his Carhartt coveralls in this weather. I think we’ve found your new spokesman!
Everyone tag @carhartt to get Bolt a modeling gig and us a partnership! lol
I cannot say enough how proud I am of this girl and how resilient she is. From being thrown from a car, having horrific road rash, having to lose her tail and recovering from a very difficult surgery. She is just the sweetest and now is officially waiting for her furever home to come along!
We still need to raise about $400 for her hospitalization and vetting. Please please please donate if you can!

We were able to help with one more kitten from the same situation that Olaf came from. Thankfully before he met the same fate that Olaf did. Everyone meet Oscar! We decided since Olaf and Oscar came from the same place that we would let them see each other again and the reunion was too sweet. After the video shut off they were running and and playing with each other. Oscar is the sweetest and funniest little guy. We would love if we could maybe find a home that would be willing to take both of them together since they know each other but of course that’s not a requirement. Oscar will also get his vetting done this week and hopefully be ready for a furever home soon!
Who knew we had a bunch of polar bears here at Doe Eyes! I think Milton loves this weather the most…Bolt cussed me out when I tried to put him outside lol
The Bolt update everyone has been asking for! Bolt said aaaaaaaabsolutely not to outside time today. He walked out, looked at me, turned around and went back inside and sat next to his playpen lol. He got a fresh warm blanket out of the dryer and he is all set for the afternoon!
We hope everyone is strutting into the new year the way Ms.Candy is strutting her stuff!! Look at how good she is doing! She is still at the vet for a bit longer but will be ready to find her furever home soon!
🖤 Ralphie’s Vet Appointment 🖤
Our large animal vet came out to the sanctuary today to check out Ralphie. He was so well behaved while they looked him over. After discussing everything with them we have made the plan to not do any major surgery on Ralphie at this time. Where the legs of the absorbed twin are located on his neck would make removing them completely incredibly risky. We also discussed him being 3 years old and at this point relatively used to this being his condition. We did agree that we are going to observe him over the coming months and see if/how much the extra legs get in his way and if we see that they are an issue for him we will like just have the legs removed but not the entire form from his neck. It would be a much less invasive procedure. However, our vet does think that with him being 3 years old that he is probably used to the extra appendages and that they don’t seem to be weighing him down. Like I said though, we will revisit all of this again in a few months and really determine what the best course for Ralphie will be. As of right now he is a happy and healthy boy! One more week of quarantine and he will be ready to join his new friends!
Video is of myself, Ralphie and Dolly the cat hanging out in the barn after his appointment 🖤
Did you know that on top of being absolute bestest boy in the world, that Milton is also classically trained in Tap? Turn your volume up for some absolutely adorable tippy tappys!
* Volume Up* Pretty sure this is Helen cussing me out in her own way because dinner was served 2 minutes late last night lol. Helen is definitely settling into her own here at the sanctuary. She’s lost some weight and is now extremely active and talkative…clearly lol
Here’s a little glimpse into feeding time for the kittens here at Doe Eyes. We try to make sure to add things to their diet that will help them with digestion, staying hydrated, coat care and overall health. Also not pictured is probiotics and L-lysine (forgot to put it in the video and was not re recording lol). Also, every kitten pictured here needs a foster or adopter!! Please reach out to us if you can help!!
