Lucky & Pepper are the sweetest ~9 month old pups in search of their forever homes!

Pepper is deaf but she is doing great learning hand commands.
Lucky is a laidback boy who loves to lounge.
They are good with other dogs and have done well around kids.

They are fully vetted including their spay/neuter.

We are sad to have to make this post, however, due to massive increases of nationwide animal surrenders and minimal adoptions our intake will be closed until further notice.

We are completely full of dogs and puppies that have not been able to transport to out of state partners and will be posted for local adoption soon.

I know we have posted in the past to make the community aware, but again for anyone that may not know, we are a 100% volunteer organization. We do not have paid employees.
All of the posts and responses on our pages, all of the vet visits, coordinating, emails and fostering are done completely by volunteers.

All of our volunteers have jobs, personal pets and families that often times get less attention than they deserve due to the fact that this rescue requires SO much to continue to run.

We as a whole are exhausted and burnt out and are going to take time to regroup and focus our efforts on getting a spay & neuter clinic up and running, to hopefully cut down on the massive numbers of puppies and kittens in need.💛

As a community, we desperately need people to take accountability for their animals. Unspayed dogs and cats multiply extremely quickly. There are not enough homes for all of the animals in need. Please do your part and fix your pets.

🟡This year alone, we have helped roughly 200 dogs and puppies and dozens of cats and kittens.

Financial support to assist with our outstanding vet bills is SO greatly appreciated.

Convective action is currently occurring just to the West of Val Verde county. I am still monitoring to see if storms will have enough to make it across the border and impact any areas which is uncertain at the moment.

Stay vigilant as we move into the months of April and May these type of storms are know to be severe and can at times cross into the county within a few moments,

Did you know that just ONE unspayed female cat can start a chain reaction that produces over 12,000 (!!) more cats over a 5 year period?! Shelters are already full and can't help every cat who needs it. Spaying and neutering literally saves lives
