Welcome to my new hobby page! I have had aquariums and fish for the better part of my life. About a year ago, I found peace and purpose in keeping and breeding fish. Trying to come up with a "name" was hard. My son refers to me as the crazy fish lady, but I finally decided to stay with the "painted" theme. I own The Painted Pig, The Painted Chick, and The Painted Crafter, so I might as well be The Painted Lady, lol.
Last weekend I attended, as a seller, my very first fish expo, hosted by DFWAA. IT WAS A BLAST!!
My love of all things fish meant I had to zero in on the ones I was going to breed moving forward. Angels have always been a favorite, as well as different varieties of Rainbowfish. And of course I will still have varieties of corydora and bristlenose pleco. But, I'm branching out and stepping into the world of discus, and i couldnt be more excited! These fish all work well together in tanks, and complement each other in the water column.
Join me as I begin this journey in earnest. Kevin might have had it right all along, maybe I am the crazy fish lady!
