Not to brag, but my loyalty and zest for life makes me the best companion for any active household!

Likes: Adventures! I love swimming and playing in the lake! Outside adventures like walks and hikes are my favourite! Oh, don’t forget the belly rubs when we are done!

Dislikes: There’s not a lot I don’t like…. But I do prefer my veggies cooked rather than raw! Do you blame a girl?

Meet Clyde! This sweet, happy, and playful boy is the definition of a loyal companion. He’s a quick learner thanks to his love for food (which means training him is a breeze!). Whether it’s following you around the house, lounging on the couch, or playing tug-of-war, Clyde is always there, ready to join in on the fun or chill by your side. His curiosity makes him a fantastic explorer, and he loves people-watching from the front window. He’s also a pro at doing tricks for treats—he’ll shake a paw and wait patiently for his next yummy reward!
Clyde is the kind of dog who thrives on attention and affection. He’d be happiest in a home where he can be the center of attention, whether you’re giving him belly rubs, playing with his toys, or just hanging out together. He loves being surrounded by his people and is excited about all the adventures life has to offer.

Likes:
• Eating (especially frozen peanut butter and pumpkin in his Kong!)
• Doing tricks to earn treats
• People-watching from the front window
• Tug-of-war

Meet Blaze, the sweetest boy with a heart of gold! Rescued from a tough life on the streets, Blaze has transformed into a playful, loving companion who’s always up for snuggles and fun. He’s great with kids and has a special fondness for women. Blaze is also wonderful with both small and older dogs, as well as energetic, larger pups. His calm and friendly nature suggests he’d likely do well with cats, though he’s never been tested with them. Blaze is a quick learner—he’s already mastered “sit” and “shake a paw”!

Blaze’s stunning coat and striking mismatched eyes make him stand out in the crowd. His left eye is a brilliant icy blue, while his right eye gleams a warm amber, giving him a one-of-a-kind look! Blaze is ready to find his forever family and shower them with love!

Day 5 of Woofmas! 🎄

We need P*e Pads and Puzzles/lick mats for our puppies! We are in high demand for donated p*e pads for our puppies as they are still being housetrained. The pads help make their transition smoother and cleaner. We have 24 puppies so that is a LOT of p*e pads needed 💛

Puzzles/lick mats help our pups relax and stimulate their brains. We use puzzles for pups to help relax, keep them busy, aid in crate training, etc. Puzzles are very beneficial when our pups are spayed or neutered too to help keep them busy since they’re not allowed to be active during recovery!

Sol is an absolute joy! He loves playing with other dogs, entertaining himself with toys, and chilling out beside you—whether that’s lounging on the couch or snuggling at your feet. He’s also fantastic with kids and sleeps through the night like a champ. Quick to learn and eager to please (especially with treats!), Sol will make a wonderful addition to any home.

Though he's a little shy at first, Sol warms up quickly to new friends, so he’d likely do well in a variety of environments. He’s untested with cats but has proven to be social and adaptable.

✨Today is Bimbi’s day to shine✨. Meet Bimbi – the fun-loving, adventure-seeking, snuggle-obsessed pup you’ve been waiting for! Bimbi is a true outdoor enthusiast, thriving in cooler temperatures and always up for a good run or exploration. Whether he’s chasing after his favorite toy or simply basking in the fresh air, Bimbi’s energy and zest for life are truly contagious. But when it’s time to relax, he transforms into a cuddly lovebug who will insist on being your personal couch – whether you’re ready or not! His “forced love” comes with a charming smile and a big heart, so once you’re in his inner circle, you’re in for life. Sometimes it takes Bimbi a little bit of time to warm up to new people, but once he bonds with you, prepare for endless loyalty and affection. He’s also great with other dogs, including puppies, and takes on the role of the “fun uncle” with playful gusto – though sometimes, he can be a bit much for the little ones. Bimbi isn’t food-driven, but when it comes to love and attention, he’s all in. He’s great with kids, especially older ones, as younger children might get knocked over by his excitement. Bimbi can sometimes be a little vocal, especially when it comes to the occasional cat or livestock, but with some dedicated training to help him redirect his energy we have no doubt this quick learner can overcome this quirk. Alberta Homeward Hound Rescue Bureau

We are pleased to join the ranks of animal rescue organizations in the Edmonton, Alberta and it surrounding areas. We are a 100% volunteer run registered Society in the Province of Alberta that began operation in July 2019.

We advocate and provide care for dogs that have been abandoned, abused or surrendered to our non-profit organization. We provide veterinary care for these dogs and place them within foster homes that provide love and support to the animal to reach the ultimate goal of being adopted into their forever home.
