10 month old mini Aussie Peaches came for training because her owner had been to group puppy training for leash reactivity. Unfortunatly, she was put in a fenced corner with her dog & not helped at all, unfortunatly we see this all to often. In the first session we assisted the owner & stopped Peaches leash reactivity. She had been dog reactive & around another dog did not react at all. Owner is practicing obedience drills we taught her, adding duration work in place & well on her way to a calmer, well balanced , trained dog who will get more freedom because of her education. If your struggling with your dogs behavior, regardless what it is, we can help turn that around to good behavior., & it doesn’t take a long time to do.

Tessa, 2 yr pit/dane mix & Sunny 4 yr old hound/ mix hold place command while I train Gsd puppy Chole, who’s 7 months. Having dogs hold place is a great way for them to relax & learn duration work for impulse control, & can be then duplicated in the home & out in the real world anywhere you take your dog!

New board & train Tessa here for a list of unwanted behaviors & obedience training, including off leash reliability. She was barking at people, especially men, we stopped that behavior. She got crate trained & is doing fantastic on all her obedience training. She went for her first outing to stores recently & was excellent. She’s just 2 yrs old & is such a calm smart dog. She was timid & fearful at first but putting her into training. & teaching her calmness on command helped her state of mind & to relax. She had a little separation anxiety which we also eliminated. She’s walking, heeling, recalling & holding commands perfectly. She no knows all her commands & does them off leash correctly the first time. We’ll be taking her out into the world for exposure to more environments.

So very proud of this couple clients of ours! We trained both their 2 female dogs, this is part of the go home session for Rose, after a 3 week board & train here with us. Both dogs were nervous, anxious, didn’t know how to relax & we’re getting into fights with each other inside their home. Angel the younger of the two, had some guarding behaviors around the female owner as well. Rose came for board & train but Angel we did private sessions in which owners put in the work to turn this dog around. Both dogs heeled on leash , off leash, did distance recalls, rode the carts around Home Depot. They did just as they were trained to do, held commands & ignored distractions. We worked both dogs thru their unrealistic fears & taught them to cope, not to flee & they both built incredible confidence not in just themselves, but in their leaders as well. The owners have learned how to structure the dogs inside the house as well as outside in the real world, so they can be successful going forward integrating these two dogs into the family again. We wish them much continued success together. They are happy to have both dogs home again as before training the dogs were living in separate households because of the dangerous fighting.

Meet Rose our new board & train here for obedience, behavior modification as she gets into fights with the other household dog, also a female. ( worst rate of failure in dog ownership). Rose is also a very nervous, skiddish dog fearful of every sound, movement, sight. Less than a week with us, she’s holding commands, not fleeing around scary things to her, she’s relaxed in her kennel which we taught her to do as well. She had some separation anxiety when she arrived at HHIFP , but we were able to stop that really quickly. She is willing to learn, picks things up quickly . She is actually a very sweet dog. Rose will also be trained off leash so she & her owners have more freedom. We teach the dogs how to make good decisions on their own, even when they are off leash. Stay tuned for her progress!

First time teaching clients dog Reggie to go through the tunnel! We also had him heeling off leash with us all around the property. Owner brought Reggie in for private sessions as he had some guarding issues with owners roomate, inside the home only, outside he loved him. No, roomate did nothing to the dog, this is a common behavior in dogs that needs to be stopped,which we did successfully in our 1st consult together. Reggie goes everywhere with his owner possible & has great manners, heel, recall even around dogs & high levels of distraction. We educated his owner, & he put in the work & this is SUCCESS! Congrats to the both of you & enjoy your new found freedom together.

Happy 7th birthday to Willow, where does the time go? We went from leash reactive, attacking dogs to no reactivity & plays with all the dogs around here. She also helps train the dogs in training!

Luna went out in.public today, Allies farm & Pet, Tractor supply & Tj Maxx. She was very good, held a down in line, got many compliments from customers on how well behaved & adorable she is. She held a heel, ignored distractions, just what she is trained to do! Great job Luna & her owner is anxious to get her back home after board & train with us.

Meet Chace, 2 yr old husky mix with his owner at 1st private session. Chace has some issues owners are struggling with such as leash reactivity, barking at everything, anxiety, fear, won't stay in kennel, pulls on leash, barks at people & kids. Owners have other dogs in the home, no issues with them at all. A previous trainer told them Chase was untrainable because he's a husky, which is ridiculas! We muzzled him for safety, taught him how to heel on a leash, sit, down & place in first session. He was nervous but was willing to do the work. Owners are excited to get Chace to level of off leash reliable & be able to take him everywhere having him stay calm & ignore distractions. That is what we train for, out in the real world. Changing lives, 1 dog at a time!!

Reggie with owner at 1 on 1 private session. He's a very calm dog, willing to work so with owner training at home, were able to move forward with Reggie. We started layering remote collar in with obedience commands, did kennel up on command drills, worked around other dogs for distractions, including a loose dog. Reggie did so well & his owner is super excited with his progress stating every single thing we taught him is working immediatly, including eliminating aggressive behavior in the home towards roomate. We'll add more duration & distractions as we go & get him out in the real world, proofing our work. Great job you guys!!

The two board & train dogs, Luna & Cooper practicing impluse control around other dogs. They held place while we walked out of sight, played ball & frisbee, recalled other dogs away from them & to down next to them. They both did recalls from a distance & off leash heel around the property, separately & then together side by side. Cooper is super nosey & entitled but did extremely well. Luna is very over aroused most of the time & we were able to calm that so she focuses much better, & doesn't get crazy out of control excited about norhing & everything. Great progress with these two young dogs & Cooper is ready for his go home session tommorrow after his 2 week board & train.

Meet another Reggie, a new 1 on 1 here for some human aggression issues & obedience training for off leash reliability as well. He showed no signs of aggression here, we muzzled him for safety reasons, just in case. He did great in all his obedience work & he'll be back next week for more private training with his owner.

Meet Luna, a yr old Golden retriever here for board & train. She's very anxious dog with separation anxiety. She pulled on the leash so hard, she has pulled her owner down She barks at everything & bolts seeing prey.
She sniffs everything constantly unaware theres a handler on end of the leash. Owners had difficulty kenneling her, within minutes we had her lay down in kennel & she actually went to sleep while we talked. Luna's actually a very sweet dog, she's here to learn obedience, to relax on command, coping mechanism around distractions, recall etc. She will also be trained off leash reliability so Luna & her owner have more freedom together. This is just the beginning as she knows place & down commands.

Meet Cooper, a 3yr old spaniel here for board & train. He has a host of unwanted behaviors, non stop barking, convience hearing, fence fighting, counter surfing, jumps on everything, whinning, , begging around food, runs thru any opening he sees, pulls on.leash constantly sniffing. Weaves side to side wrapping leash around handlers legs. Didn't know any recall. He's very pushy & entitled personality. He now knows all obedience commands, auto sit, holds a down for hpurs around distractions, heels even off leash around other loose dogs, kennels up on command, goes to place & recalls long distances. He's going out into stores etc & proof his training around more distractions. He has been here just a week & a half making great progress!
