A wonderful supporter of ours sponsored Toby’s adoption fee for Valentine’s Day. This boy needs and wants out of the shelter, and is ready to fall in love with his forever family ASAP 🩷

Toby is a young pit mix, and he is loved by everyone he meets! If we polled our volunteers, almost all of them would say Toby is on their “favorite dog” list!

He’s a member of our dog playgroup, though a meet and greet is always required if you have a resident dog. He has spent time with (respectful) children. Cats unknown. Toby loves snacks, walks, and playtime.

Some dogs handle shelter life well, others, not so much. Toby came to us a bouncy, happy boy— and although he is still just as lovable and sweet, his light is dulling. He wants out. Please consider adding him to your family.

Have you every wanted to adopt another dog, but wasn't sure it was the right time? HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT FOSTERING????? The rescues here in Central NY are BUSTING at the seems. B & R Bunkhouse Adoptables is full with some amazing dogs that need to be adopted....who need to be loved.....who need to be SAVED!!! If you can't adopt, please consider fostering. We need to help our local rescues....we need to help ALL of our local rescues, the one who support our efforts, and the ones who support our community!!! Please consider....and if you are unsure....ask questions, get more information.....the dogs need to be loved!!!!!

One of the organizations that Pet-A-Palooza has supported over the past couple of years is Fixing to Help,

Fixing to Help enables low-income residents of Central New York to access wellness and low-cost spay and neuter services for their pets. To date, Fixing to Help has helped over 1,000 local animals get 'fixed'.

"If everyone took personal responsibility for their animals, we would have a lot of the animal problem that we do. I am a big spay-and-neuter supporter. Don't have babies if you aren't going to take care of those babies. We don't need more. We just need to take care of the ones we have. Take responsibility and breathe kindness" ~~~ Betty White.

Did you know???? Does Syracuse need and Aquarium? Or does the City of Syracuse need to help their neighborhoods and animals?????

FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS! RESCUERS AND ANIMAL ADVOCATES!

Onondaga County is poised to allocate millions of surplus dollars on Tuesday to the creation of a huge tourist attraction – an aquarium.

We believe those dollars should be helping our residents instead. Part of that money should provide badly needed wellness services for pets of low-income families. Affordable vaccination and wellness clinics, more spay and neuter services.

Right now, Onondaga County is a pet resource desert.

WHATEVER YOUR PREFERENCE for how these millions and millions of surplus dollars should be spent, PLEASE LET THE LEGISLATORS KNOW…NOW! Wednesday may be too late.
