Pepper, an adorable semi-floppy-eared Shepherd mix who will be 6 years old in July, has the most soulful brown eyes and a wagging tail that never stops. She loves her toys, especially squeaky toys, and nylabones, and playing fetch! Pepper’s fosters say she is so sweet and cuddly, and has been low energy in the house, although it’s thought in a fenced yard a more playful side might come out! She takes treats very gently and will steal your seat if the opportunity arises! Being a cuddly girl she loves to sleep in bed with her people, or as her fosters say “hog the bed”! Pepper rides well in the car, enjoys long walks and is great on a leash, however, her fosters have been working with her on leash reactivity to other dogs and on her instinct to take off after birds and small mammals, which would likely include cats. They have found being vigilant while walking Pepper and giving a quick tug on her collar helps distract her.

Pepper would do best with calm, older children, due to lack of exposure to active young kids. We also think Pepper would not only do fine as an only dog but would likely prefer it! Several months ago and shortly after coming into rescue Pepper had TPLO surgery (knee surgery for stabilizing the joint) several months ago and can still be a little sensitive in her left leg. Pepper is looking for a family who will cherish her and shower her with the love and attention she deserves. Adopting Pepper would truly be a rewarding experience for anyone lucky enough to bring her into their home!

Our precious Jack had his dental and had 10 teeth removed! He’s his happy, sweet self through it all. He’s loving the soft food his awesome foster is fixing for him and is still playing his favorite game of stealing his foster mom or dads seat when they get up. He loves where it’s warm and cozy! Jack says if you move your feet you lose your seat! His foster says he is so easy! He loves his bed, hanging with his fosters, finding a warm spot on the couch to lay and loves to nap. If you are looking for a super sweet senior boy, please consider Jack! ❤️

Meet Jack! Jack, who is about 10 years old and a hound mix, is looking for his retirement home! Jack is well-behaved, quiet, sweet and gentle. His favorite past-times are snuggling, being a couch potato (be aware that he may steal your seat if you get up!), or napping in his bed! He loves pets and body rubs, and following his people around! He also loves treats, which he takes very gently.

Jack has done great with his foster family's young grandson who likes to read stories to Jack! (We do stress that kids should be taught to be respectful in their interactions with pets!) Jack walks very well on a leash and will let you know when he needs to go out! In his previous home he did fine with the resident cats. He previously lived with other dogs but may prefer to be spoiled as the one and only in a quieter home now!

Jack is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and is scheduled for a dental on 1/24. If adopted before 1/24, the dental will be prepaid by the rescue.

Meet the gorgeous Maddie Mae! She a 70 pound American Bully that will turn 2 in March. She is house trained and loves to ride in the car! She is great with children, but with her size and energy, older, sturdier children are recommended. Sturdy adults recommended too!
Maddie Mae MUST BE THE ONLY PET, no exceptions. She walks great on a leash though a fenced area is preferred since she loves to run. Maddie Mae is
fully vetted (Spayed, chipped, vaccines UTD, lyme and heartworm negative, and on monthly preventatives)
She is high energy and gets very excited but calms down and loves to be by your side.

It’s sometimes so hard to put into words how amazing a dog is when they have quirks. We love quirks, it’s what makes them special.

Meet Kingston!! Kingston is 3-4, has had formal training, is house trained, large crate trained, walks decently on leash, takes treats gently, gives great kisses! Kingston currently lives with 2 beagles and does great with them, however he does prefer some dogs over others so we would be sure to do a meet and greet with your current dogs to ensure he’s a good fit!

Kingston has skin issues and needs monthly meds and food free of the things he’s allergic to. He has also had sporadic seizure activity and may possibly need to go on medication in the future if they increase.

We recommend Kingston be placed in a home with sturdy children over 10. Kingston is a big boy that doesn’t know his size. We recommend Kingston not be a good first dog, but a wonderful guy for someone with some experience.

Unfortunately, Kingston hasn’t been shown much interest and we just don’t understand. If Kingston was already your dog you would take his quirks in stride, it’s just Kingston. You would know he is so amazing and you would fall completely in love. We encourage you to meet him, spend time with him and give him a chance. He really does deserve a wonderful forever family that sees what his foster family and all of us see… a sweet, handsome goofball that wants nothing more than to please his people.
