It’s MN State Fair season. Here are a few pictures from when I was a baby. I loved dogs even then and the State Fair dog show was my favorite every time. Who else loves the Minnesota state fair? What’s your favorite show?

It rained today and all my puppies were huddled together in the dog house. On Tuesday I put all the puppies outside. At three weeks old Penny’s pups they each tried a bite of wet puppy food. They loved it. No sour faces, just happy little tales with faces to the ground.
Do you have a memorable time seeing someone try something new?

At seventeen days old all of the puppies eyes are open. Each day their eyes open more and more. Each one has his/her own unique personality. So far we have the names Lightning and Thunder for the boys. Do you have any suggestions for names for our five girls?

At two weeks old their eyes are starting to open! These cute puppies are getting stronger and stronger as the days go by. We are hoping to put the puppies outside in the kennel later next week. We can’t wait till their eyes are fully open.

The dogs sure are happy today. Thirteen days into mothering, Penny still has lots of energy and loves to play. Yesterday she climbed the ladder to our barn loft while chasing a squirrel.

Beautiful and growing pups, plus Penny is calming down and really growing into her role as mom. What content little puppies they are!

Penny is busy balancing being a new puppy mom and enjoying Minnesota farm life. She’s not quite sure if she wants to be inside with her newborn puppies or outside running around with everyone while chores are done and wood is brought in for the winter. Nonetheless she has been a wonderful mother and her little labradors are growing fast.

We bought Penny in November of 2022.
Now, she is a fully grown mother of seven cute
puppies! They were born on Thursday, August 1st, 2024. They are her first litter and are all very healthy.

What did you have for supper? These little puppies sure love their food. Their teeth are growing bigger each day. At four weeks old they have started to move a lot more and have ventured outside the kennel each day. Do you enjoy venturing out in the wild?

The puppies are having lunch with mama. At twenty three days old the puppies are moving around a lot! They are starting to get ten feet away. Little Lightning is especially adventurous. What are some name ideas for these little puppies?

Good morning! Our little Lightning ⚡️ was on the bottom of the puppy pile on this chilly morning. All of a sudden I hear whining and out pops Lightning’s little head. 🐶 All the puppies were up then. Rise and shine you not-so Pokey Little Puppies. They are ready for another day in beautiful Minnesota. We love them so much already. ❤️ 🐾🥰

Ever since Penny, Oscar, and Dilly were puppies, they’ve loved the water. When Penny was just twelve weeks old she swam for her first time in our river, but we had to pull her out because she was too small to climb up the riverbank. Now twelve days into mothering she still has the same energy and love for water. Do your dogs love the water?

Our little fox red labs are so sweet already. It won’t be long until they enjoy these Minnesota mornings outside…
