Congratulations to Merlin (Stoneridges Excalber) Lucca's son; and to Mary Ann Cothren. Merlin completed his AKC Champion this weekend. Now on to the next chapter!

So a little more info on Lucca at first we were thinking that he was going to need surgery for the lung infection,but after consult with the surgeon it was decided that this was not the best course of action for this situation. Lucca was taken off the antibiotics last week. Going a week without them he went back for a chest xray to see if there has been any change. I'm happy to say, that there is still a small amount of fluid but the amount is not increasing next xray in 2 weeks. He is happy and payful.

A little tardy on the update, Lucca has had his chest drain removed and seems to be doing well. He will be on antibiotics for a while. We will know more after his next vet check.

I would like to send a great BIG shout out to all the staff at Sheep Draw Veterinary Hospital. Lucca had some problems breathing earlier this week and as busy as they were they fit him in and once we got there realized the gravity if his situation. Without their dedication and superb medical care I'm sure he would not have made it. Lucca is home with us and recovering.

So today in the confirmation ring at Buckhorn dog show Megan and Lucca took Best of breed, as well as Second Prize in the Owner Handler class!

So Im quite a bit behind the times I never posted how Lucca did at nationals. He finished his RAE, he earned his GCC, advanced, and urban. in the Seiger show he was ranked V1 in the working dog class. 4 new titles in all! Photos to follow

So vacation is over, having taken a bit of a break since Rottie Nationals Lucca is back in the show ring tomorrow ,and Saturday at his first UKC show in Longmont Co. competing in , confirmation, obedience , and rally. And then at the Weld County Fair 4H dog show on Sunday. Let you know how things go after he is all done.
