Last but certainly not least of the new arrivals;
Merulanella "Red Diablo" is another outrageously beautiful pod found in Vietnam. These guys may not have the impressive size of Ember Bees, but they make up for it in personality and colour!! An extremely active and fun to watch species, catch me staring at these for the rest of my life 😶😶😶
Next up from yesterdays arrivals! Ive officially joined the Merulanella club 😁
Merulanella "Ember Bee" is for sure one of the most striking pods on the planet with those insane high contrast stripes! They also reach quite an impressive size and are active throughout the day, making them one of the best options for a beautiful display set up!
These pods originate in Vietnam, they are partially arboreal and from what i hear have a tendency to overheat, so high ventilation is a must!!

My replacement package arrived today from Jerimiah Toole ! Thankfully the shipping company didnt screw up this time and everyone made it safe!
I cant get over the strange look of this murina variety; even in person their eyes are hard to spot, truly look like some sort of blind cave isopod🤍🤍🤍

Cubaris sp. "Empress panda" or "tapir" is a mutation of the popular "panda king" isopod where the first dark section is either reduced or entirely missing! This mutation doesnt seem to breed true as youll always have a couple regular pandas to pull out! Super neat addition if youre into line breeding 😁🐼
Little upgrade for one of my favorites 😅 helleria brevicornis went from a 15qt to a 66qt yesterday! Hope they enjoy!

In the spirit of spring, this is typically the first species i spot every year when the snow starts to disappear! Philoscia muscorum is a small, incredibly fast species, but with stunning patterns and colors! Super happy to have any useable photos of them 😆

Still wrapping my head around yesterdays purchase😶😶 i certainly never expected id own one of these; holy grails of the aroid world. The Philodendron 'Spiritus Sancti' is well known for being one of the most sought-after plants in history! During the height of the plantdemic these were selling for 10-15k for a more mature specimen 😵💫😵💫😵💫 People were breaking into botanical gardens with GUNS DRAWN ready to steal cuttings! What a wild time 😆
At one point in time there was reported to be only 6 known wild specimens of this plant!
Incredibly honored to have one to grow out on my own! Cant wait to see those ghostly long leaves in my own plant room 🥰🥰
