RIP Peanuts 🐿️ and Fred 🦝…I’m still so stinking upset. Trying to keep politics out of it, but these babies deserved better… Humans inexcusably failed them. 💔 Nothing gets me like harming children or animals.

I apologize for being MIA for so long. Our lives where completely turned upside down at the beginning of September when we found out our sweet little house that we love and adore, tested positive for 3 different types of TOXIC MOLD! 😭

Many of you know all about my chronic health struggles over the last 6-7 years despite our lifestyle that no one has been able to explain until now. Mold Toxicity accounts for almost every symptom I have had. We were advised to leave immediately with our inside pets and that basically all of our belongings were not salvageable.

Fortunately we have found a cute little place in the area to rent until we figure out what’s going on. Right now our insurance is not helping at all. The entire home has issues, so it will be unbelievably costly to repair. We are thankful to at least finally have some answers health wise at least. Though this is a nightmare, it’s full of blessings also. After being away from the inside of our home for so long, many of my symptoms have resolved and the ones that are still here have greatly improved. Even the kids and the animals are doing tons better. Mold is SCARY guys. We honestly had no idea our home was slowly killing us.

We are currently facing many big decisions and are running down all of our options. We are actually looking for property, but still hope we can come back to ours. It’s a lot of mixed emotions and lots of creative thinking. I guess only time will tell what the future holds, but we do take comfort in knowing that God’s got us. We are trying very hard to follow his will and keep our eyes on all of the blessings we have.

Side note, the chickens are doing well. We have help and lots of cameras out. Unfortunately as far as the garden goes, the deer have figured out that there aren’t any dogs in the yard so they have been having a feast… We will start over once we figure out our next move. 🫶

So funny… We have been looking all over for different varieties of native Milkweeds to add to the back yard. Specifically, Zizotes Milkweed… We had found the Tuberosa and Commercial Milkweed. Well, take a look at what’s randomly growing in the front yard now. 😂 Zizotes Milkweed!

W**d Pulling day. 🥵 The kids tried to help, but found shovel rides to be much more exciting. HaHa 😂 Andres and I have been in a constant battle with the native Silver Nightshade that pretty much makes up over half of our yard. We pull and pull and more pops up. The Hornworms the Wasps don’t eat, get relocated to these guys and they help a lot too, but don’t take care of the root system. Maybe one of these days we’ll finally pull the last one 😅

Happy Monday!

We have 2 broody girls that refuse to get over it. 🤪 We may have to bring them inside for a few days… Bright side is after 2 days in a row of some much needed actual rain the garden is much happier. Some of our heat stunted crops all but took off over night. Rain is amazing! Thank you, Lord for such a beautiful blessing 🙌
