A huge thank you to The Acorns for the grant to Caring for Cats Yorkshire and Humber. Our open day was a lot easier with the new folding tables instead of the heavy ones we have been using. The gazebos will be used as well. Thank you again from the cats x

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us on our last summer open day on Sunday!

We raised an amazing £890 (and over £900 at the previous open day on 10th August)! This money will make a huge impact on the lives of the cats in our care, and we are grateful to our supporters and volunteers who donate time and/or money to help make this happen.

Don't forget, we'll be having another open day on 16th November - Christmas themed of course! So pop it in your diary and come and get some festive treats, as well as your usual open day goodies 😻

Are you a cat lover with some time to spare? Caring for Cats is a non-profit organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats in need, and we're currently in urgent need of more helping hands to continue our mission.

You don't need any special skills—just a compassionate heart, a willingness to help, and a few hours a week to spare.

Spend time at our shelter helping with essential tasks like feeding, cleaning litter boxes, and refreshing water. You'll also get to spend quality time playing with and socialising our cats, which is crucial for their well-being.

We would be thrilled to have you as part of our team. Your help will directly improve the lives of the cats in our care, giving them a better chance at finding a loving home.

We have had two bikes kindly donated to the charity to help raise some funds. Both bikes need a little bit of TLC but could be a rewarding project. They are available for £20 each.

The bikes are down at the homing centre. If you would like to take a look please call 01430 872612 to arrange to visit.

This charming boy absolutely adores a good scratch behind the ears and will happily roll around on the floor to show his contentment.

When it’s playtime, Luciano is all in, especially when a feather toy is involved! Afterwards, you’ll likely find him happily sunbathing on a warm windowsill.

Luciano has a cheeky personality and loves a good cuddle, but he’s also a cat who knows his own mind. He’ll let you know when he’s had enough affection with a gentle nip, so it’s important to respect his boundaries.

If you’re ready to open your home to a fun-loving cat with plenty of character, come and meet Luciano!

Luciano takes a daily urinary medication which is simply sprinkled onto his food. He is available to be permanently re-homed or a long-term foster would be considered.

Tickets are now available for our Summer Raffle! We have some fab prizes up for grabs and of course the proceeds will go towards the cats in our care 😻

You can get them from the homing centre. Don't forget to pick up a strip or two at our open day on Sunday!
