I must address the glaring issue that’s been looming over us. At the Houston dog show in July, it became painfully clear that certain individuals were intent on bringing down Steadfast. While our dogs ultimately received the recognition they deserved from the judge that day, the attacks have not ceased. Therefore, I want to emphasize this point: amidst the challenges faced by Steadfast show-dog owners and handlers, there is something truly remarkable to celebrate! It’s crucial to recognize that when seasoned handlers—some with decades of breeding experience—resort to devious tactics to overshadow your dog in the ring, they are unwittingly admitting that your dog is indeed superior to what they are presenting! Keep this in mind: when egos take center stage and people resort to any means necessary for triumph in the show ring, these deceitful strategies do nothing but obstruct real breed improvement. It becomes evident that these individuals prioritize their own name and status over what truly matters: enhancing the breed itself. Just think about it! Whether it’s calling for the wicket, whispering into a judge’s ear, crowding you out in the ring, or obstructing the judge's view of your dog—these tactics are not new, and serve to highlight one undeniable truth: your dog stands out above theirs! So don’t let those who feel threatened by your success take away from the joy of your journey. You’ve got this, and we’re here celebrating you!

At 1 month and 2 days, for the first time all 13 puppies are eating out of feeding bowls. Until yesterday a few of them were still "nursing" from a supplemental bottle feeder. At this point Darcy and I are feeding the puppies full time. They only get to latch onto mom occasionally now. Although Grace is in and out of the Puppy Palace frequently and is never far away from them.
