Daisy Dukes also went to the UKC show in Jefferson, GA (Nov 6th-7th) where she was awarded two Altered Best Females and 5th place in the Junior show handled by her first junior handler. This puts her total points with UKC at 90, so only 10 shy of her CH title since she already has her three competition wins against another dog. She will be earning the points needed in 2022, earning her spot as our first CH dog. Unfortunately, after that she will be retiring from conformation. There isn't enough altered dogs in our area for her to earn her GCH title without driving two days to Michigan and other northern states.
She also is 15 points away from earning her CHUJJ in dock jumping, which we will hopefully be achieving in December (pending with holiday plans). If we do not end up going to the event in December, she will then be bumped to earning them in 2022. This will make her our first dual-champion. However, once she earns her CHUJJ, she will also be retiring from dock jumping. We will still be titling her in lower impact sports and titles, but with her turning 9 years old in 2022, we think it's time for her to enjoy other things, such as obedience and trick dog titles.
