🥵What Actually Happens:

When a dog walks on hot pavement, their paw pads can:
-Burn (even blister)
-Absorb heat rapidly
-Cause their body temperature to spike

Since dogs don’t sweat like humans (they only sweat through paws + pant), it’s harder for them to cool down. That spike can lead to:
-Heat exhaustion
-Heatstroke
-Or just full-body stress and fatigue

Press the back of your hand to the pavement for 7 seconds.
If it’s too hot for you, it’s dangerous for your dog.
