Tip Me Frederick needs a little help. The all-volunteer nonprofit does so much for our county!

Friends, we need disposable puppy p*e pads! "What for?" you might ask. We use them daily for many things—inside carriers, underneath traps that have cats in them, and in people's cars that are trapping! Every. Single. Day.

Can you help us out with a box or two? Below are links to two particular ones sold at Amazon. If you want to purchase yours elsewhere, please buy XL or XXL, which are approximately 34 " x 28" or 30"x 36 ", quick-drying, leakproof, and UNSCENTED.

We have a large, unexpected expense coming for one of our foster kitties and we need your help. Ambrosia is a beautiful young female who needs an urgent surgery to remove a polyp that has spread from her ear and into her throat. It is now partially blocking her airway, so time is of the essence. We are overwhelmed with other vet bills due to recent projects, and could really use your help! Public service announcement:
This is a shared photo from other rescues. We have never used these chips so all your adopted cats through us are fine. However, wanted to get this out there in case anyone in our area has a pet that is microchipped with this company. Any of the 3 companies below will allow you to register with them. We use Petlink/DataMars at our rescue and are very easy to work with.

Yesterday, I adopted the oldest, sickest, and most broken dog at the shelter. I’ll never forget the look in his eyes. When I stepped into his cage, he didn’t even glance up—he was so used to being overlooked. Curled up in the corner, he had already accepted his fate. The volunteer kept asking me, “Are you sure about this one? Are you sure?” Without hesitation, I said, “YES! This is my dog.” As the cage opened, three other animals tumbled out, but I went straight to him. Suddenly, he looked up at me as if he were seeing an angel. I wrapped him in my arms and whispered, “You’re going to be happy again.” He fell asleep in my lap—probably the first peaceful sleep he’d ever known.

Give them a chance. Give them love. They need us.

From a dad who saved a soul.
